The Periodic Table in Minerals Collection In 1869, Dmitry Mendeleyev sat down with some scraps of paper and designed a chart that systematically grouped the chemical elements known at the time. This same chart is still growing year by year as new elements are discovered, but its name remains the same: The Periodic Table. This study collection demonstrates a new way to actually experience the elements of the Periodic Table as colorful mineral samples that contain the individual elements! The elements represented are: hydrogen, lithium, beryllium, boron, carbon, oxygen, fluorine, sodium, magnesium, aluminum, silicon, sulfur, chlorine, potassium, calcium, titanium, iron, zinc, gallium, and gold. There are 20 samples are presented in a 5 inch by 7.5 inch snap-close plastic display case, and each set includes a detailed information sheet. For larger hands-on samples and specimens that lend to a broader range of study see the "Grand Tour of the Periodic Table" 60 specimens. Recommended for only educational and teaching purposes.. Do not ingest or inhale.
