Amazingly written and lots to learn and grow from
I haven’t read a lot in this genre but honestly, I get why it’s considered as one of the best yoga and self care books out there. I had the pleasure of speaking to the author too and her philosophy (clearly understood in this book) is something not enough people apply to their lives. May this book continue to help others as it helped me!

Transformational & more.
Yoga sessions with Varuna are transformational & more. She has managed to capture the same magic in this book. Written & illustrated in a simple and elegant style to appeal to the young mind. A great tool for all parents to help transform their children (& themselves) into higher souls that they truly are !

Know Yourself to Know the Cosmos
It does not lecture, nor does it water down a complex philosophy and practice of well-being. Its friendly style communicates candidly to young people making them see how possible it is to flourish meaningfully and in the 'real' sense.

More Than I Am Review
The authors have beautifully drawn experiences from daily life and ancient yoga wisdom to give children a bite of how yoga can be fun, relatable, and explorative in nature. The book covers different domains of life, making the reading and learning holistic in nature, keeping in mind the physical, emotional, interpersonal, and spiritual aspects of life. I personally liked the quotes shared at the beginning of every chapter and the box of suggestions for any stressors that one may feel. All in all, it’s an interesting read, not only for children but for parents, adolescents, teachers and others too.

Must Read for Teens!
Varuna Shunglu’s and Ken Spillman’s More Than I Am is indeed more than just a book on yoga. It is a book on the physical as well as mental wellness of young people. Written in a simple, chatty prose, it gives practical advice on how to organise yourself, lead a healthy, stress-free life, bring exercising into your routine and cope with the hormonal changes in the body among others. These are the conversations we need to have, especially to help many teens deal with depression. No, Apple Mood Fixer is not your iPhone, it is a power packed recipe! The text shares some delectable, easy to fix recipes and imparts nuggets of wisdom like a true Yogi is not someone who can stand on his head. To know what s/he is, you need to read the book!

Really nice book
Loved this book. Great read for young adults and parents. :) It packages mindfulness and yoga with real world examples. New age knowledge which is really required. In today's world we all obsess about being the best. This book looks at this, but also tells us to be happy with what we are. It looks at current day issues for teenagers and gives simple, elegant and practical solutions. I personally loved the animation. Great value with nice wisdom.
