Dog not a fan
I am sorry to say that when presented to my dog, she sniffed it, looked at me as if to say, you expect me to eat that and walked away. This is in no way a reflection of the food or the ingredients, i have a very fussy dog, there are very few foods she will actually eat.If your dog does like it, then its very good value when buying a 12kg bag.The ingredients in this are very high in grains, rice and oats alone are over 37%, this is not necessary for dog food however i have to base my review on the experience of my dog and she didnt like it.Sorry.

Precept Plus Canine Foundation
Well-received dog food. Doesn't stink out the kitchen in any measure (or direction). No leftovers either, which is my only means of judging whether or not this is good for the doggie!

Good food it would seem
The dogs like it and wolf it down. It contains fresh meat which I am assuming makes it tastier. The spaniel and terrier are very keen to eat it, and it is certainly something I would consider buying in the future. The packaging looks good and it comes in a convenient size which is portable and easy to store.Would recommend.

Not sure.
My dog is a bit unsure about this, he ate the first serving I gave him but lately he seems to be fussy. He does eat it but takes his time . I can't help thinking he does not like the small kibble and perhaps this would be better if it was slightly larger .Anyway, I will see how he gets on with it .

Parsley Sage Rosemary and Thyme - yes they are all in there! Yucca too.
Precept dog food arrives in an attractive pouch decorated with pretty pansies and daffodils - confusingly it looks a bit like a small bag of compost. To use cut off the carrying handle, and pull open the sealing strip. The small brown button sized circular biscuits are rather like cheerios for dogs. As with Polos, they all have a little hole in the middle. The ingredients are kind of exotic - Cranberries, Dandelions, Rosemary and Peppermint - as well as the more believable chicken fat, carrots, carbohydrates. Nature certainly would be surprised at the uses her bounty has been put to.Nevertheless my springers, who are now awfully keen on the postman, owing to recent vine offerings for 'Moderately Active Adult dogs' such as this foundation formula, eagerly chomped it all down. As I write this they are worrying at the bag.So it passes the taste test. Hopefully the peppermint will freshen their breath. I suppose Cranberries and Dandelions might compete with each other for diuretic purposes. The glucosamine will oil their joints. The thought of 'chicken meal' brings to mind the debris from a chicken factory.Being made without Wheat and Corn may be important to owners who know that such things are bad for their pets. Personally I would rather see a shorter list of more recipe like ingredients rather than a biology textbook. But I am not the one to eat it.

I would definitely recommend!!
Murphy (a cross between a dog and a haystack - well, Irish wolfhound and a poodle) loves it, he can be quite a fussy eater and at times will ignore his food all day, I started to mix this in with his normal dry food and he is at his bowl waiting to eat. He likes it so I am happy. Will buy it again.I would definitely recommend!!

Natural and Nutritional Dry Food For Adult Dogs
This dry food has a list of ingredients as long as a dog's lead but further investigation revealed that the majority of them were natural or extracts from natural ingredients. I was a little disappointed that the percentage of salt wasn't indicated on the packaging when those for carrot, flaxseed and peppermint were as high blood pressure in some dogs can lead to an increased risk of strokes. I was, however, pleased to see that Glucosamine has been added; this helps to keep joints supple and decreases the risk of arthritis in adult dogs. My willing guinea pig - a lively mastiff cross - was apprehensive at first, sniffing at the bowl before plunging muzzle first into it and devouring every piece. Like all dry foods it is important to have fresh water readily available for the dog during and after his meal.

Another good choice for kibble
When we first had our Shih Tzu we immediately looked at food and decided that we didn't want to feed the basic supermarket type. However, choice was limited by cost so we stuck with Royal Canin, which has more natural ingredients and is designed for specific breeds. This Precept Plus, however, is in a class of its own and yet doesn't cost the Earth. The ingredients are both natural and a good mix of botanical elements, meat and vitamins, while excluding those, like Corn, which can irritate some dogs. Best of all, my dog loves the flavour of this food and while she is picky about some foods, has managed to eat every bowlful of this.Based on how healthy she is looking and how much she likes the food, I can recommend Precept Plus wholeheartedly. The only thing we've noticed from this Chicken flavoured one is that her poo smells a lot stronger after a few days of eating it.
