Great history of the events as they happened with 45 RMC
Researching Father in Laws history with the Royal Marine Commando’s, the events described in the book are mainly around 45 RMC though there are some mentions of 46 RMC, which my Father in Law with was serving with at the time.

Commando Men book
From the start of the DDAY to VEDAY, in 1st person he retracts very well the 45 RMC, with names, places, day of time, maybe because is written 3 years of the end of the war a must-by for Commando lover's. My only "bad" or not so good appointment was not to speak in the harsh trainning that they had in Scotland in Achnacarry Castle.

Excellent book
Really happy with this book. Bought it for a friend whose late husband was in 45 Commando. Gives great insight into the job of a Commando.

Commando of Brothers
This is a great book that follows 45 commando all the way from Normandy to the North Sea. It was written by a 45 intelligence officer who was with them in Normandy, Holland and Germany. It shows the mud and blood 45 and the 1st Commando Brigade went through in Europe. It follows them through Assaults, Patrols and Attacks all to the way to the final days of the Reich. Reading of their bloody battles one hardest was the Battle of Allers wood that was only a month till wars end was good reading, the author makes it clear the stuggle this war was even when seemed it was all over.
