Robust, does the job, easy to use
Very sturdy and easy to assemble. Works by chopping waste against a back plate rather than by using rotating blades so less likely to get blocked up. Very good with small branches, less so with things like green bramble stalks - just let them dry out first. Definitely recommended .

A good machine that works well
The unit fits together easily. Just bolt on the wheels and stops and 4 screws to hold the top to the frame and slide the box on and you are good to go.Easy to understand instructions with the spanner and hex is supplied. A spare wear plate assemble is included in the box.The unit uses a slowly rotating cutter against a aluminium plate, this makes the operation reasonably quite and certainly acceptable for a residential situation. For best performance, ensure the cutters are adjusted as per the instructions via the easy to use adjustment knob. The machine works well and the motor makes easy work of both 40mm branches and smaller bunches from bushes (also in bundles to the max size). If one overfeeds the unit it automatically stops and the blades can be switch to reverse to clear the blockage. A purpose designed 'poker' comes in the box to help with feeding,The unit is easy to maneuver with the large wheels making moving over most ground easy - the unit not heavy for its size. The solid collection box is a useful addition, especially if one needs to lift the cuttings into something for disposal. This is also the focus of my only negative comment, the box has a safety switch, so the machine will not run with the box out, this removes any option to put a different container under the machine for collection of cutting. No biggy tho...Overall, first use of the machine was better than I expected for a domestic unit, very useful and easy (and fun) to use.

Powerful, efficient and quiet
Very easy to use and makes short work of branches and twigs. If shredding green branches with foliage, ensure you have some dry thicker branches to run through afterwards. Makes great mulch.

A Brilliant Garden Shredder
I’ve had a number if different garden shredders all of which failed me. Garden shredders are notorious for getting jammed with material stuck it would round the shredding shaft. And until I tried the lawnmaster it was difficult or pretty well impossible to get into the machine to unclog the blockage. The LawnMaster shredder is a brilliant design because it handles blockages in a number of ways.1 The main way: unscrew the four Allen key screws fixing the square grill right next to the cutting screw. You can then pull the whole shaft out and remove any garden material wound around the shredding screw. But a slight word of warning: you must get the grill firmly back in place or you will be unable to switch the shredder on. also there is a small aluminium plate which screws in against the shredding screw to control the efficiency of the shredding. So initially had a little trouble lining things up when I tried to put the grill back - but soon managed to do it correctly.I now understand why a second aluminium plate is provided because if pressed against the shredding screw flakes of aluminium will over time reduce the aluminium plate. I think this will take some time so won’t be needing the spare aluminium plate for some time. But there are also other wary of unjamming this shredder. By undoing or releasing the orange screw which pushes the aluminium plate against the shredding screw you can allow more space for jammed material to be released - and then screw the aluminium plate back against the shredding screw to provide better finer shredding. All in all a relief to have a shredder which I can unblock ax necessary. I used to spend more time trying to unblock previous shredders than actually using them to shred.

Good value.
Easy to use but not so easy to put it together.

Great shredder and not too noisy
Although this was more expensive than I intended it is a great shredder. Easily chews up sticks of 4cm and chops them into 0.5-1cm chips. The size of chips can be altered but I found that the smallest it could go was about 0.5-1cm. Much quieter than my old rotary blade version and doesn’t get blocked nearly as much, if at all.

Easy to assemble and performs very well
The media could not be loaded. Within 2.5 hours of taking delivery of this shredder I had assembled it and filled two wheelie bins with shredded branches and twigs. It is relatively quiet and made short work of some relatively substantial (4.0cm dis) branches. I am very pleased and am happy to recommend it for domestic garden use.

Does the Job
In the past I have used this type of shredder with the big block of six knives and the type with a spinning disc with a couple of blades. The disc type was better at grinding up leaves but the knife block is much better at chipping branches. Needing a new one I went for the knife block. It does the job but it does not seem as good as my memory of the old one. This one as expected is not that good with foliage as it seems to jam up the feed but its OK with branches although it sometimes takes some effort to get the knives to pick up the branches and pull them through. Not something I remember being an issue with my old one.Over all the build quality seems OK but as expected It is very heavy to move around our hilly garden. Not a lot of assembly. Just a few screws to fit the top to the base and put the wheels on.
