Madeira8012 'Classic' Embroidery Box with 8 Metallic Bobbins 200 m Each

I have never used metallic thread before so did a bit of research before buying this. I decided to buy a known brand and also bought machine needles specifically for use with metallic thread.I used the thread to sew a decorative edge on a pillow sham I was making, the results were excellent. I will definitely be using this thread on other projects

I ordered this in an emergency to add machine embroidery to a little girls velvet dress for Christmas. The threads arrived very quickly. They are very shiny, with three shades of "gold". Madeira threads are smooth, easy to thread into the machine and, as long you don't try and go too fast, strong, creating a lovely sparkly effect on the velvet. A fine iron on interfacing under the cloth adds stability.A great solution to an emergency. Don't be tempted by cheap alternatives!

Very pleased with gold and silver. Green was a bit disappointing. Very happy with product. Went through machine with minimal breakages.
