Old strings
These strings were oxidised out of the package and starting to rust in places. Definitely not fresh strings and you get what you pay for. They came in a transparent plastic case which doesn't help. Get something better that's my two scents. Even for a couch bass these aren't going to be enjoyable that's my opinion.

Good for casual players, students
I'm a guitar player who occasionally plays around on bass when recording, etc. Name brand bass strings typically run between $20 and $50 (I've even see a $100 set of boutique strings). Now on guitar I care a lot about the strings I use, because I can hear the difference. But with bass frequencies, I really can't tell much difference between cheap and expensive strings. So why pay more? For those who are curious, the double-wound portion of the two thickest strings is 36" long, the overall length of the strings varies from 46.5" to 48", and the gauges are 0.100", 0.079", 0.055", and 0.045".

The prize!
The best strings I have tried at this prize point. You are fooling yourself if you think that only brand matters!

You get what you pay for
As with many things in life, you get what you pay for. Musical instruments are no different. These strings are as generic as they come and I doubt if the manufacturer and / or seller knows anything about strings.. The product page states in error, or does not state at all, any of the info that is important to the string selection purchase. Multiple times it states the strings as "flatwound," yet what is shown & what I received are definitely "roundwound" strings. It says the strings "are Labeled with number 1, 2, 3, 4" but as you can see in the picture, all 4 strings simply come coiled up together in a cheap plastic bag. The gauge of each string is also vital, but not provided. These are extremely Extra Light gauge strings. I typically use either 50-105 (Medium) or 45-100 (Light) gauge bass strings. These are much lighter with the G string perhaps being 40 or lighter.
