There was about .5" clearance between the bottom of the woofer, and the floor of the box. Construction is solid, not a cheaply made box by any means. It fits under the rear seat of a 2010 Tundra Double Cab, but has to be close to the front of the seat than the back. Even then, there is very little space from the top of the woofer to the bottom of the seat.
