DRAUGHTS CHECKERS - 25cm / 9.9in Handcrafted Wooden Board Game

I didn't look closely enough at the description and assumed the board itself would be larger. The quality can't really be faulted but the size might didappoint some buyers. I think it right to say this lies somewhere within 'travel' size or perhaps 'small' board which I think should be made clearer. I don't recall ever owning a Checkers board as small as this without it being described as 'small, travel size'. The packaging was adequate and came in a plane white box; but, it needs to be better if you were gifting this item.

nice wee board. looks really good but is actually made from fairly cheap materials but its nice and I like that the pieces get stored neatly inside the box.

This is "cute" and the box is nice but the pieces are tiny for the money more like a travel version.The inside holder for pieces plastic and doesn't seem like it's going to last long.Dissapointed and don't feel I got value for money.Never written a bad review but feel like buyers should know.

I returned this as I didn't agree with the description of being made from 'great quality birch and sycamore wood'. I think it is stained balsa wood instead. The edges were rough and not finished off properly, and inside some roughly cut tape was covering the hinges. There were no instructions, and the item came packaged in a battered, unmarked cardboard box.I gave the review 2 stars because the game was complete and therefore could still be played. But the quality didn't match the price, and the same board could be found elsewhere on the internet for a few pounds less.But I wanted something that would last, and so I ordered the Waddingtons board for chess, draughts and backgammon. The quality is better, the different game pieces are stored in pouches, and the whole stored in a box. The cost was only £3 more. I would urge you to look around first.
