I very highly recommend this product. Buy it. Makes installing simple.
This worked perfectly and easily on my 2007 Toyota Highlander with a JBL sound system and no navigation. I struggled to install an android head unit. I read in various Toyota sites that nothing works for Toyota Highlanders like mine. Someone here said that this Metra 70-8113 harness worked on their Highlander so I bought it. It looks like Metra upgraded this harness because people complained that it didn't have either the power antenna or power amp wire (one of the two) and I think it didn't have the illumination wire. Mine had both power antenna and power amp, and the illumination wire, all wires were there.Installation:1) Connect all wires from your Metra harness to the wires from your head unit harness. Battery to battery, ACC to ACC, illumination to illumination, antenna to antenna, amp to amp, ect. It has a simple manual you can follow.2) Very important. You'll see 2 black wires from the Metra harness (1 has a white line). Connect both of those to the 1 black wire from your head unit harness. These 3 wires are grounds.3) Connect the 2 RCAs from the Metra harness to the 2 RCAs coming out of your head unit.4) Insert your head unit harness into the head unit. Connect the Metra harness to your Toyota harness and you're done. It's really simple just make sure you connect those 2 black wires from the Metra harness to the 1 black wire from your head unit harness.Great product and great value and very easy to install. :)

very good for 2004 camry
Really happy with this harness. Worked fine in 2004 camry with the JBL amplifier set up. I've seen some reviews regarding the amp not powering up but I think that is because the instructions are a little unclear on that. On this harness you will need to connect the red wire from the harness to the red wire of the radio as is obvious, as is the case for yellow to yellow, black to black, BUT there is a blue and white wire on the harness as well and that is your amp power on. Your radio nor the harness will likely tell you where that goes. It should be connected to your red "accessory" wire. If you fail to do this your amp wont power up and you'll get no, or very poor sound. So the red wire will be going to red and blue and white and you're set. Don't connect it to the yellow "battery" wire either or the amp will stay on all the time like the clock and you'll drain your batter. The blue wire is for a power antenna the camry doesn't have so disregard it. The harness has labels for everything but doesn't state to use the red wire for red AND blue/white for the Camry.

Awesome device
2004 Toyota Sequoia SR5 - Easy to install, automatically switch to car play, even better than the dealer ones that come with the cars already. The sound and the mic is very clear, the only problem I am having is with the backup camera I am not able to make it work yet! Connected the red wire to the backup light at the taillight and the black to a ground but still no success. Any suggestions from someone one that can tell what I am doing wrong?

No illumination wire - Otherwise fine.
Worked fine on my 2006 Camry using the factory JBL amplifier system. As others have mentioned there is no 'illumination' wire connection in this which caused me extra grief to figure out and wire manually. I don't know why they don't include this as the wire is in the factory harness it is connecting up to. The only reason I can think of that they don't include it is possibly that wire is different on some models so they just don't do it at all. Still giving 5 stars because of the price and it does the job otherwise. In my case the wire was dark green but that definitely varies by model car judging by other comments. While it was in the factory stereo harness, I ended up going to the ventilation control harness because it was also there (dims those lights too) and a much longer wire to tap into easier. The same wire is also at the clock at the top of the dash. Same color at all three. Again this is the 2006 Camry. Others will vary.By the way, I often see others mention that hooking to the illumination wire isn't that important if your head unit allows you to dim by time of day. I would disagree with that as the time it gets dark varies by up to 4 hours depending on time of year. If your head unit supports the illumination wire, I would find a way to take advantage of it.

2003 Toyota Camry XLE - Perfect adapter
Purchased 70-1761 first before removing the stock radio and checking the connectors. Wiring this harness is a breeze. As others mention in other reviews, connect the 3 black wires together. No background engine noise or distortion. Still need the dash bezel kit. Thanks Metra

head unit turns on and radio works but bluetooth not so much
it was a simple install on a 2004 toyota camry and it works with my Kenwood 4707s but bluetooth isn't working at all nor is carplay, maybe i missed a wire or something.... though it was my third harness (JBL system)
