The handle is hallow!
I have a small garden that I have used the same spot for years. As I started the 2nd row the handle gave just a little. It continued to give a little every few jabs in the ground, causing me to have to bend it back to its normal position. It eventually split at the curve of the handle. My opinion is the curve creates a weakness in the handle that is guaranteed to fail. I purchased a 3 year warranty and used it twice before it literally broke. I wasn’t able to finish the garden. Maybe half. Don’t waste your time people. This company is ripping people off. They don’t honor their warranties… ill wouldn’t buy a bottle of water from them if I was dying from thirst. Amazon should remove any companies doing this from their site. It makes Amazon look bad. This may have been my last purchase from off Amazon.

EASY TO USE
I used this to do disturb some ground that i was preparing for a raised bed, i had put down cardboard and left it and dirt and grass accumulated on the cardboard. it was easy to use though i wasn't digging deeply. i still need to try it on flowerbeds and places where ground may be more packed down. because the tines are inches apart it doesn't break the dirt up finely so you may need to attack the spot multiple times to get the dirt broken up more finely.

DO NOT BUY THIS! Bent handle on first use. Needs stronger handle
Bent handle right away. Have had another which lasted years. Trying to find it again. I’m going to try straightening and inserting dowel to make sturdy.Update: Dowels did not keep it from bending. The handle needs to be solid not tubular. The design allows for incredible leverage, but the handle probably couldn’t take it even without leverage. Cheap materials period. Shame really.

I bet it's great in sand. But not Texas clay
Junk. Took longer to take out of box and assemble than I actually got to use it.Just went in around 3 inches before the arm started vending. On my third thrust. The unit failed completely. See pictures. Looked good in promo video. But like too many products not made with quality material or craftsmanship. It failed miserable. Packed back up and on its way to being returned.

I liked it better than many reviewers
I have a small garden roughly 12'x20' where the soil is mainly clay. Each year I work it and add amendments to improve and break up the soil. I have used shovels, hoes, rakes and even a small tiller with limited success in turning the soil. After having read about broad forks, I thought I would give this one a try.All the parts arrived in good shape and assembly was quick and easy. As others have noted, this broad fork is fairly lightweight and does not feel particularly robust. Even so, for my use it worked very well. The long 10" slender tines penetrated my soil to their full length by my standing on the fork head and gently rocking back and forth. The orange fork, which provide a fulcrum point to lever the main tines, helped to stabilize the broad fork while I was pushing it down. When I pulled back on the fork handle, the soil gets "scissored" between the grey and orange tines, effectively breaking up my many dirt clods. Wow, so easy! I was able to till two rows in about 15 minutes, and to a depth of greater than I have been able to get to before. In addition, the broad fork does not create a hard pan at the bottom of the tilled area like my tiller did. I am sold on this approach! So, why did I rate it only four stars? Its back to the robustness of this device. The two plastic endcaps on the orange tines fell off within a few minutes. These keep dirt out of the hollow square tube. Also, the main shaft of the grey part of the fork did bow a little during use and I wonder how well this will hold up over extended use. But for my little garden, I think this is a great way to go. I will just need to handle this tool with extra care.

Good tool
I wanted to do a no-till garden this year and although it is not as wide as a broad fork, it is very easy to use.

Will not cut or turn sod that has not already been tilled by machine
The product description calls it a tiller and shows it being used to cut through and till sod/grass. Well that is a farce as the handle bent as soon as I tried to till sod/grass with it. It may not even be sturdy enough to till/turn garden soil that has already been done by machine. So just another cheap tool taking up space in my garden shed.
