My lady was able to get through this in a month and get certified. Method of success: holistic practice exam > read areas of weakness > specific topic practice exam on that area > repeat until 80% or greater > move on to the next area of weakness > repeat until you get 80% or greater in all areas > retake holistic practice exam > schedule test > success.

Great Preparation Book
Great book for test preparation and skill development. Full guide with labs and practice exams are value-adds that shouldn't be easily overlooked. Book has logical flow and does a great job at mapping the testing domains to the specific chapters of the book.

Good source
I passed both tests in 4 weeks. I utilized Jason Dion lectures, skimmed topics in this book I didn't understand and hit the practice tests hard. The free practice tests online provided with the purchase is worth the price alone.

DO NOT BUY
Book is written horribly. Flow of the information is erratic. Information on a particular topic or part is spread across the multiple pages in multiple chapters. The actual writing is confusing and too wordy. Does not do a good job of explaining topics from the ground up so anyone can follow along and learn no matter their computer experience. I've read several engineering, science and chemistry books and I can tell you this is one of the worst books to learn from that I've ever come across. In addition to all that it doesn't give you a good fee for what exactly you need to know for the test and the same test questions are horribly written and cover information no one studying for comptia A+ will ever need know. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money on this. It will only confuse you to no end.
