Manic Panic High Voltage Classic Cream Formula Colour Hair Dye (Electric Amethyst)

Review for Hot Hot Pink.I used to use MP pink about 7 years ago and it would last so long on my virgin medium/dark blonde, and it would be so bright despite not bleaching and daily washing! I'd top up every 4/6 weeks to maintain.Now though... I have a balayage through my virgin hair and it's washing out SO quick from the virgin hair! I've washed 5 times between photos.Everything else:- You'll need to use gloves the first few washes if you don't want pink hands. Do not expect the water to run clear for some time. Wash 5 and it's since running pink.- Vaseline is your best friend when dying. Apply around your hairline, ears and neck.- It will stain your pillows if your hair is remotely damp when going to bed. Towels also. It will wash out though!- I've got away with not having stains in my shower, however I have a walk in and will aim the shower every few minutes to rinse the colour so it doesn't get time to stick.- 1. 5 tubs plus a tint bit of conditioner saturated my hair.If I think of anything else I will add. Overall not as impressive as it used to be.Perhaps they had to change the formula when there were changes in EU regulations?HOWEVER before I used this I did give Directions Flamingo Pink a try and that had 100% washed out in 6 washes and didn't take to my virgin hair at all, so will stick to this for the time being!

I’ve been dying my hair green for almost 2 years now. I always used to buy lunar tides - cerulean sea. Which costs a bomb with shipping to the UK! I took the plunge + brought enchanted forest. But when opening and using it, to my surprise and delight. It was exactly the same as my regular lunar dye. I’m so so happy I will keep buying the enchanted forest dye now as it’s so much cheaper. My hair was bleached to a light ginger Color before applying the green 2 years ago. I have been topping up my green every 3 months since and it stays lovely for ages. I use cool or cold water to wash my hair and use a 99% natural shampoo and conditioner that’s doesn’t wash the Color out like regular shampoo and conditioners. I keep it out of salt water and swimming pools and avoid hot water washing. Half a pot did all my bottom end from my shoulders down (see picture) so goes along way for a small bottle.Also helpful tip, when you’ve finnished with your dye pot throw some conditioner in there and mix it up - add to your hair to conditioning it with colour for another little boost in Color between dyes

Used on my daughters hair for the 6 weeks hence only doing the ends. The hair had already been lightened before adding the purple but it's took really well and is a beautiful colour. Easy to apply. Did even take slightly to her natural hair which is very dark brown

Beautiful colour but came off my roots really easy. My bleached roots became visible after washing it 4 times

I absolutely love manic panic. It's my favourite hair dye. It keeps the colour longer than some and it's much more vibrant. The pastel doesn't work very well but the full colour versions are absolutely amazing. So bright and it makes your hair lovely and soft after using bleach. I absolutely love the pink!

Hot hot pink is an amazing colour ,the dye I had leftover I mixed with conditioner so I can top up the colour

Doesn’t feel like any damage to my hair, vibrant, smells good and will definitely buy more and other colours.The pot is smaller than I expected for the price, but I didn’t check the size of it so that’s on me.

Used on prelightened hair. I loved how vivid this colour is initially. A stranger approached me in the street and called me a beacon. It wasn't as dark or as deep as I would have hoped for but that could be to do with how light my hair was before. The colour lasted maybe 2 washes before fading really quickly.So messy. Probably the messiest hair dye I have used in a long time. Red/pink everything! Pillows, neck, towels, clothes, grouting. It washes out of those things but for me the transfer of colour, looking perpetually sunburnt on my skin and pink/red nails, compared to how long it lasted and the colour, it wasn't worth it. It did fade a to lovely bubblegum pink!
