Grease is the word
This review is for DIYers and homeowners. Read the product page and do an internet search for dielectric grease. That's 95% of the instructions you need. Here's how to use it for electrical contacts. For light bulbs, smear the smallest possible amount on the threads (or the sides of smooth automotive bulbs), not the sockets. Remember, this grease is designed to PREVENT electric current from flowing. However, the thinnest possible film will not interfere with current on threaded connections. Don't put it on the unthreaded contact, though. If you have ever had a light bulb stuck in a socket, this product will prevent you from the difficult process of removal and the risk of ruining your light fixture. For any battery operated device with a threaded (including screws) or unthreaded closure, put a light film on the threads or closure edges. Light film means you can't see the grease, but you can feel the slipperiness. If the battery leaks, it won/t corrode the lid and you will be able to remove the battery and salvage the device (experience speaking). Use it with slip on or snap together electrical connectors. Don't grease the contacts (but you can grease the threads of contact screws); grease the surfaces that hold the contacts together. They will separate without difficulty and prevent moisture from entering the connection. If you need to clean all traces of the grease, you will need a solvent. This grease is also good for emergency rust prevention. It will last long enough until you apply a proper coating if not rubbed off. I also use this for purely mechanical connections that may rust, corrode, or otherwise form a bond greater than mere friction. This grease is much less messy than anti-seize compounds. The number of uses for this grease are beyond counting here.Usage notes: This is not a lubricating grease to eliminate friction between weight bearing surfaces. It's a waterproofing and insulating product. Don't lay it on thick unless the application specifically calls for it. Exposed grease can transfer to other surfaces and collect dirt. DON'T use the brush in the can lid. If you do, you risk transferring contaminants into the can. Use the brush to deposit some grease onto a clean surface. Then use a separate brush (recommending a plumbers flux brush) to apply. For most things, you will only need a very small dollop on your fingertip. You should buy this product. With this can, I basically have a lifetime supply. You will thank yourself for having it on the first occasion it prevents a problem that will cost you more in time and cash than will spend for the can.

Should Be Used On All Battery Installations
The video on the use of this product may easily be misunderstood. This is non conducting grease, it blocks electricity. When installing a new battery go ahead and apply the grease to both sides of the color coded felt washers and slip them on the appropriate battery post but DO NOT GREASE THE BATTERY POST OR CONNECTORS AT THIS TIME. Install the battery connectors and ensure that the clamp screws are tight, try and wiggle the connector back and forth on the battery post; if installed correctly the connectors will not move on the post. Now, with the connectors in place and clamped down you can apply a thin layer of grease over the battery connectors and the exposed battery post. If this grease should get on something that needs to conduct electricity, do not simply wipe it off with a towel or tissue, because its influence will still be there. To remove the grease completely use a rag corner that has been saturated in non-rubbing Alcohol or Acetone or MEK. If you own a boat or a small ship, this grease will help protect your battery connectors from ocean spray or rain. This grease is not heavy enough in viscosity to protect your battery in the event of water submersion, such as sloshing bilge water.

Great value for money
4 lifetime Dielectric Silicone Grease with Battery Terminal Post Washers - Waterproof and Non-Conductive Lubricant for Electrical and Automotive Applications - Easy Application 4oz Brush Top Can.This is a good deal and may last a lifetime (no pun intended with brand name ) for the average vehicle owner who changes bulbs and batteries infrequently. It certainly is a lot cheaper than buying those tiny little sachets from the auto parts store.Thank you for reading my review and looking at my photos of this product. I hope you found it helpful!REVIEW PHILOSOPHY: I only review a product if it is something I am capable of critically evaluating through comparison, testing and use. This means I have experience of using similar items; or that I have equipment or tools that I can test it with; or that I have an upcoming need so I can actually use. I am as selective about getting an item to review as I would be about purchasing that same item, so yes, I expect it to be a good product. My reviews are NOT based on packaging or if it was delivered timely.

Must on every DIY
This is a review of the 4oz dielectric crease with its own brush and 30 battery terminal anti corrosion washers. These washers are exactly what most auto stores sell you for a few bucks and it is designed to absorb the chemicals that creates corrosion. Don't know how it works but I have been using them on all my cars and only once when I see it don't work and its on an old car. Dielectric grease is silicon grease that creates a waterproof protection in between terminals where electricity passes thru like base of bulbs, connections and terminals. It is best to always clean battery terminals when being accessed and to apply this. In the past, I use a tube and my finger to apply it. This came with brush on the lid so its less mess on my hands I have to worry. Highly recommended.

For when you need a big gob for the job
For years I have gotten away with using a small tube of dielectric for things. I typically only use it for connectors but I had a couple tasks on the boat and trailer where I wanted a large quantity to protect from corrosion. This certainly fits the bill. It spreads on easily and stays put. Since you are able to completely cover a connection it should help get the moisture and corrosion out.

Thin
Maybe I got a bad one but this stuff was watery. Not even as thick as Vaseline. I was going to return it but I thought I'd give it a try. Almost melted and ran on top of my batteries in 75deg weather. Not the kind of dielectric grease I am use to.

The bad and the good.
The bad:I only gave it 4 stars because of the packaging. The packaging could be improved . It came in a simple and small plastic bag with no bubble-wrap or any kind of cushioning and then shipped inside an Amazon paper envelope with 2 other items (grease of different brands). Luckily it was not damaged. Have not tested the product yet but it looks okay. The good:The items came a few days earlier than targeted. That, I like.
