Prevención es mejor que perder una cadera
No tengo escaleras. La puse por los pasillos de la casa para que mi madre mayor de edad se agarre mientras camina y no se vaya a caer. La casa no se ve fea con los pasamanos.

why must every question be answered?
How to find a stud to attach the brackets. Consider a 1 x 4 diagonally placed on the wall with sufficient screws to hold it securely. Then attach brackets to the board.

Very modern look and feels sturdy.
Easy install. Things to keep in mind. Install the end caps into the 2 railings prior to putting pole in. If you try after poles are hung, the you need to mallet them on and that will loosen the railing if it it is screwed through drywall. Use a chalk line maker and connect one end to your first screw that is 33" straight above lip of first step. Rail holder rises another 3 inches making height 36". The instructions are in metrics. Remember that the 3 poles are 47 " each and the top and bottom poles should stick out about 1 foot past rail holder; so the second holder should be around 36 " from the first. You can go a few inches either way, depending on where the stud is. your third rail holder must have pole pole inserted and then mark the holes for drilling, take pole and holder off and then drill the holes. If no stud behind no problem, just use the supplied screw reinforcements and use a 3/8 drill bit for the hole. use mallet to tap the plastic in the 3 holes and put the pole and holder back on. Go another 3 feet and put the 4th holder on the wall. Again, you can go a few inches either way, to find a stud. The alan wrench tights the poles securely. Wipe off finger prints with windex on paper towel and then wipe off blue chalk from wall. Vacuum up drill hole dust and then show off your project.

Sturdy! Great value for sure, didn't always hit a stud but installed on a board then to the drywall and got studs on the wood

Sturdy and clean looking
The railing came well packaged and undamaged. The instructions were hard to follow for me and I am pretty handy. I basically ignored them and simply set the height for comfort and moved the whole railing to find solid locations to screw it to.The four brackets come specifically for a mid-railing or end, two each. The end ones can be slid up or down to help find solid nailing. The mid-rail brakets are what join the railing sections and must be attached at 48 inches making it tougher to find something to solid in the wall to screw the brackets to.Overall the railing came as I expected and looks great, is solid and serves its purpose well. The pictures I posted are:1st The bracket that is used for the ends and will slid over the railing to adjust position.2nd The bracket used to join two 48" sections of the railing. Inside the brackets there are stops to which you slide the railing in tight, thus these brackets cannot be slid up or down your railing. Both type brackets have small allen screws to tighten against the railing to secure it. The kit comes with a small allen wrench.3rd My installed handrail. It's the perfect length for a standard set of stairs.
