Good for thermal curtains

Just what I needed for my front door. Unfortunately the box was ripped open on delivery and the driver insisted that he had been given the parcel like this and asked me to sign to say I had checked it and was happy that all contents were intact. Good job it wasn't for a present. Very poor really but I do not know at what pount the box had been ripped open.

It does its job in the situation it is in - it does droop with the weight of the curtain, but as we read the other reviews we were ready for this(it doesn't seem like it will break, though!) - so we just put a small hook under the other end to rest it on when its shut. It must be open whenever we are out, so it doesn't seem like it will break.

Firstly is it a curtain rod without hanging rings?The product is OK, but not good value for money, the finish is not good especially the extending part mine has the brass finish missing in parts. Easy to install, but in this day a poor quality product for money i.e. if it was £10 I would have expected this quality not over £20 (inc of P&P).

I would recommend the Extendable Drapery Arm especially in the winter, it makes such a lot of difference in keeping the warmth indoors and since it moves together with the door when it opens it is really easy to use. Delivery excellent! Thank you!

I read all the R/V's and decided that, as I only want this for privacy, not heat retension, it would be fine for a light curtain that only reaches half way down the door, to cover the glass panels. It arrived very quickly (in silver, not brass as I ordered) so I rang the young man who does jobs around the house for me. While we were deciding the position, he was holding it at various heights and we noticed that, even before a curtain was on, it was drooping down! This is obviously a design fault from the angle being bent. I'm not overly pernickety but it would drive me mad to see a curtain hanging down at a steep angle every time I walked through the hall!Next problem: I emailed Amazon with my comments and asking for it to be returned five days ago but I've heard nothing from Carteret yet, so I let Amazon know this morning. I'm cross as I've been out and bought a normal curtain track so would like my refund asap.So, not only duff product, duff service as well! Stay clear!

Would suit light curtains but extended arm very weak which causes curtains to droop about 2 inches on that side due to not being able to take the weight. Very disappointed.
