Ancient Maya (The Ancient World)

A great book for introducing the subject to young learners.

I bought this to support my resources for the new year 4 curriculum. Great illustrations but the text is at a higher level than my readers.

This book is dire! Not child friendly at all. Pages upon pages of difficult to read text and not interesting at all! Considering it says the author is passionate about the mayans you'd have a hard time realising it from this dross!

Having to home school my son part time, but trying to keep him up to date with the curriculum topics that his peers are studying. This book is very detailed and easy to understand the amazing lives of the Mayans... I have certainly learnt an awful lot about these people... Now I just need to work out how to compare their lives with that of the Anglo Saxons... Tricky!!
