I heard about this product through my American Sewing Guild group. I was pleased with the timing of the shipping and the product its self. I love how bright the lights are especially since my machine has terrible lighting. I would caution buyers in two areas size of machine and removal of the strip. If you have a larger machine with a straight neck (like the Bernina show in the ad) this light will fit perfectly, if you have a smaller machine with a sharp curve like my compact brother it may be difficult to place the strip. First for my machine the curve is so sharp I am not sure it will stay in place and the strip is longer than my curve so I'll have to cut it. So far I've taped it in place with removable tape to see if it will fit. The packaging says that you need to be careful with placement because the strip cannot be removed without damaging the lights. I think it will work out nicely if it holds on the curve.

I received this strip of lights for my sewing machine quickly. I was expecting a little more light than they give. I was disappointed, but I will keep them and don't want to pay more to send them back. I would hope there are better lights out there for sewing. The picture they show must have included the light from the sewing machine itself. The light on my Brother machine is very small and dim.

In the photo the bed of the machine is covered with fabric. Under normal seam conditions that is not so and the bulbs reflect off the surface on the machine into your face. Like a window or lamp does when u are watching TV. If u have glare issues you may not like this. So far I dont.

I like this very reasonably priced strip of lights for my sewing machine. As I have gotten older I have found it difficult to see well, especially on dark fabrics using dark thread. This really helps. The only drawback is that the strip didn't stick as well as I hoped and had to be secured in one area, even though we cleaned it before applying the strip.

I have trouble seeing well enough to thread my needle these days. I had been shining a flashlight on the needle to thread it and that was very awkward. Not only can I thread the needle easily, but I can also see my sewing progress much better. It was easy to install, but be careful to plan where you want to put it before you start. If you try to move it after sticking it to your machine surface, it will not stick nearly as well. Luckily, I only tried to make a small adjustment and the majority of the lighting strip went just where I needed it.

Disappointed mostly. It's just too hard to get the lights stuck to a place where they really benefit me. And they didn't stay in place very long.The glue gave out very quickly. It was unwieldlly and a nuisance to keep them plugged into the machine. Great idea, but a hearing aid or watch battery works much better and with a much longer string of lights.Gaylene Rea

The light works as described it does light up the sewing area so much better than just using the light on the machine. Unfortunately after two weeks the lighting became loose. The double stick tape holding it in place just didn't do the job. Great idea that needs some refining.

The lights are great. Unfornately the way my machine is made, I could not put the lights over the needle area where I really needed the lights. Still trying to see what I can do to make it work Have babylock machine
