electro-harmonix Electric Guitar Effect with Synthesizer Filter Key 9 Piano Machine

Fantastic piece of kit, I bought it to use it for home recordings and it doesn't disappoint. BUT you will need to experiment to set it up. I use a compressor first in the chain and then into the Key 9 - I play with fingers so I don't attack the string as hard as some, so the compressor works best for me to trigger the device well. Once this is done it's excellent. Try it with different guitars, and different pickups. The bridge pickup seems to work best for me. It does what it says, and does it very well. A great recording tool, it simply is.

This will not replace a keyboard player, but it sounds great and works well in home studios and on gigs. You need to adapt your playing style to suit the sounds. The price is fantastic and I ordered it on the 16th and it arrived on the 18th. Brilliant service thank you .

Sadly I had high hopes for this pedal, technically very good in terms of tracking/speed etc - unfortunately I could not get the tone I really wanted for a particular set of parts I wanted to play - Also I found the portfolio of sounds available a bit limited. ... I returned the pedal and as usual with Amazon a no hassle refund was issued.I am still looking for a pedal of this type so any recommendations please post in response to this review. Thanks.

Works a treat. Sound is improved used in conjunction with a compression pedal and an eq inline. Convincing change of guitar tone to classic keys sounds.

This is one of those purchases that you have to bit your tongue before buying because if the product sucks, you will be in trouble, even if you can return it. Anyway, that did not happen because this pedal did what it is supposed to do. It works as described. With all the demos on youtube, it did exactly what they show. Anyway ElectroHarmonix is quite a reliable company. I recommend.

It's a very nice device. The sound is very impresive and tasteful. Recomended.
