I have installed heater cables on my house for the last 12 years. Cheap insurance. I have always purchased cables from the big box stores.I decided to try these ones as they offered more lengths and the price was better. As soon as I unrolled them I noticed they were a lot thicker than my old ones. I like the lighted cable end too. Installation was a breeze as I only run them in the gutters. The cable diameter definitely helps melting snow and they won’t deteriorate as fast in the sun. Package showed up in great condition and all the clips were in the bag. These are definitely quality heater cables.

This item works well, but it is hard to install because it twists and tangles easily.

The product was delivered on time. I tested it before installing it and the wire felt warm after a few minutes, so it worked as intended. I used this product to replace older roof heater wires that had failed. It was easy to install and the kit came with plenty of attachment clips and wires. The wires seem to be working. Too early to tell how long they will last.

I have a north oriented section of roof that has always had ice buildup issues. Got the Heatit. It works well enough for that area, but the end was not flexible so I couldn’t feed it down the downspout. I attached it to the outside of the downspout next to the house but that didn’t work. I moved the ice issue from one place to another. Oh well, no ice over the patio door so some improvement anyway.

I used this to keep my arborvitae trees warm in a pot during winter! It worked perfectly! You can get it wet while watering the trees, awesome product. Kicks on automatically when it gets to freezing. ALWAYS WORKED! Love this product, will be buying more just to have on hand.

I tried climbing on my 1 story roof to install this but ending up not doing it myself. You have to be at the edge of the roof to install this if you're on top of the roof. If you use a ladder, then you need a high ladder that is steady to do it. The roofer installed it for me, but he bundled up some parts of the cable which the manual said is a big no-no.I had to separate the cables with the clips included myself. It's great for value considering the clips sold on its own will cost another $20-30. But this one's 120 feet with the clips at great price. Also melted the snow so far this winter. But I read online these cables only have a shelf life of about 5 years. Hopefully I can get more life how of these than 5 years.Overall quite happy, does the job. Only thing with 4 stars only is the install is not as easy as I thought. You may need to hire someone to install it.

I've ordered 3 of these over the years for different purposes and they continue to function as well as they did out of the package without fail (outdoor use, all season long).
