Friend liked mine and asked me to order him one. Good on a budget. there are fancier ones but this works just fine, it’s bright, robust, comes with belt holder and pinpoints accurately, 👍

Good item reasonable price

As soon as this was delivered it was out the box & I was straight out in the garden. Works so much better than I ever expected (& so far better than the detector I bought). I've only been in my garden but I have found can pulls, nails, screws, the metal that goes around pencil erasers, bed wheels & a lot of rusted unidentified metals. It has picked up on all sizes, even metal that's a couple of millimeters in size. So far the furthest down I've found metal was roughly an 3 inches. I dug further down each time & found no more metal around so not sure on exact depth yet although I will be taking it out to the countryside with me soon & will update my review. But I'm really glad I settled on this one as its worked better than I expected, had made it interesting & encouraging me to go try it out further afield. I have no experience on expensive ones so cannot compare but I am really happy with this so far!

Awesome little gadget at pocket money price. Brilliant for checking small soil samples when metal detecting. Surprisingly sensitive. Also handy for DIY jobs such as locating wires in walls.

Used 3 times and no longer working

This is a good value budget pinpointer.A little chunkier that my other pinpointers but still fine to handle.It has three working modes of vibrate only, beep only and beep and vibrate.When in the beep and vibrate mode, it also has the LED light come on to illuminate the area being detected.The clear display also shows which mode it is in.This LCD display has a sliding scale which shows the distance to the detected object which could be useful for surface detection.It only seems to trigger when within an inch or so of the object but for most purposes that is probably ok.Works well so good for a starter and I will see how it stands up to the test of time.
