Pro-Tec Street Elbow Pads

Bought after falling off bike and making a mess of elbow and arm. The sizing guide is accurate - it showed me as being at the upper end of medium, and that is how they fit. They are quite sturdily made. They cover about half the circumference of the arm, and are attached by four stretching bands which go across the back, two of which are velcro fastened. In use you hardly notice they are there. They don't cause sweating. They are quite thick and medium firm in the padding. The fabric is a medium grade of nylon or similar, fairly strong weave. There's a plastic piece riveted onto the padding. You wear them with the wider part uppermost, and they fit without restricting movement. I haven't had experience of them in an accident but would expect the hard shell to protect well against grazing and the quite firm padding to absorb impact. So quite pleased.

Bought this as a replacement for my first protective gear set. Happy with this purchase as this fits really well based on the size chart provided. High quality and I feel very safe wearing it.

These have a sturdy feel to them and seem like they would provide ample protection. Just as importantly, they are very comfortable and don't chafe at all, even against bare skin. Well worth spending a little extra on.

Good all round knee pads from a great brand. Maybe go with a more padded version for vert skating.

These are comfortable and slide on with adjustable straps. they are bendable enough and I use them for cycling.

I bought these to wear for Roller Derby after using this brand for helmets and wrist pads with no complaints. I broke my elbow the first time I wore them. I gave 3 stars because it was my falling over that caused the injury but these didn't protect me the way they were intended to. I will not be buying this brand again because it is not heavy duty enough for my needs, however would not discourage kids or casual skaters from using Pro Tec

Very protective yet allows unrestricted movement. Purchased a set of compressive protectors that didn’t offer real protection, that’s not an issue with these. A size large fits an average, athletic woman, guys will want to size up

I got these for my young teenage child skateboarder. She (yes - She), has thinner legs, but is definitely not a child. I ordered a Medium for her and it does appear as though I got the right size. The Velcro straps allow you to adjust the tightness of the pads; one upper and one lower strap. The pad shell is made of a hard plastic shell. Looks like it should do the job (protection from falls). I bought this brand because of the excellent reviews I read on it and can now agree that these pads are good. I was say if you're an Adult, that you should consider getting the pads in a Large or Extra Large, and if you're ordering them for a young child that the Youth size or small would be more appropriate.

Indispensable when pushing the uni-wheel speed envelope and hill climbing. The elbow pads have an open-center elastic arm sleeve, a wide bottom velcro strap, and an even wider top velcro strap. For ease of on & off, once sized to your arm, the bottom strap can remain closed and only the wider top velcro strap needs to be pulled. Feeling secure adds an edge of courage when testing the Mocycl's limits, knowing nothing feels better when hitting the asphalt with a chest plant, or slider, than ProTec's helmet, knee, and elbow pads. I'm 45 and 240 pounds and just took up skateboarding with my kid. These pads have saved me from some really bad falls. the pad is large and think, and very comfortable; but not so big you cant maneuver. Force is transferred from the elbow across the forearm and shoulder very evenly. No fear of putting my arm into the fall.
