It's still in the packaging as it hasn't been played with yet (birthday present), so I can't comment on that. But it's arrived in perfect condition, no chips or marks and is a reasonable size. Not too big, not too small. I think this is a great buy as the cars included also fit the Melissa and Doug garage.

Melissa & Doug always know how to make interesting and sturdy toys. Never yet been disappointed. Bought this back in July for my 2 year old and its been thrown, played with constantly, garage doors have been up and down more times than I can count and its still going strong. Not a defect in sight! My son loves putting the vehicles in the right garage and using the keys to lock and unlock the doors. Definitely helped his hand - eye co-ordination. He still plays with it every day, chooses this over electronic or character toys and the carry handle means we can easily take it in the car or pushchair with us too. Attention to detail is great as the design goes around each wall of the garage. Only thing I would say it's quite heavy and it would have been nice to have abit of padding or rubber gripper on the handle because its just metal & it hurts his hand to hold for longer periods of time. Hes becoming quite independent and wants to do things for himself. Other than that very happy with this toy!
