Typical lava rock
I got a small bag just for some decorative art projects with my kids since right now they are fascinated fascinated with volcanoes. They were a bit bigger than I expected, but that ended up actually working out to my benefit. Pretty lightweight also.

Lava rocks rock!
Perfect size and exactly what I was looking for. I was able to bake my bread as these arrived on time.

Meh...
Used these for a DIY fire bowl/pit I built for my patio. The rocks look nice out of the package, however I didn't realize they would turn black from the fire. Also, they emit an unpleasant chemical odor. Will probably replace these with fire glass in the future.

Pieces are larger than described.
Pieces are larger than described, most are 3" - 4" but the larger size rocks was fine to bring up the rock height in my propane fire pit (it always seemed a little low to me).

These are tiny!
These are much smaller than regular lava rocks. They are barely larger than a pea. My guess is these are the pieces that break from the larger ones they make and they pass them off using Amazon.

Perfect size to attach aquarium plants
I got these to attach aroid plants in the aquarium, mainly bucephalandra and Anubias varietals.
