Durable lantern, decent battery capacity, USB and USB-C outputs
Lantern was purchased for elderly friend to have emergency lighting in the home in case of power outage. My below comments are in that mindset, instead of camping use or the like.Received the lantern after purchasing for $65 USD. In comparing it against other LED lanterns, the Tough Light had the best features for the price point. I saw frequent other users having complaint about the lantern's small size. In this case, smaller is better, having a large bulky lamp was always a pain in my prior years camping or the like when considerable space had to be dedicated to storage of a lantern.Having USB-C charging is welcome as that standard was chosen worldwide as the new smart phone cable standard. I was also glad to see a regular USB port in addition. Usage of CREE LEDs is appreciated, which should hopefully result in long-term durability and efficiency in light output. Great to see the lantern having an IPX6 waterproof rating; From MatadorUp's site on IPX6 ratings:"...To test to level 6 protection from liquids, a third party tests the actual products by closing them and spraying them from all directions with powerful water jets. Products are sprayed with 100 liters per minute at a pressure of at least 15psi for at least 3 minutes from all directions...."I have not tested the advertised run times on the different light modes.Room for Improvement:Light modes: PLEASE change the order of the lantern settings. Having the brightest 400 Lumen setting come on with the first button push is bad practice as it blinds the user. Please reverse the order having the lowest brightness setting come on first.Larger battery: A 6000 mAh battery will be quickly discharged when charging a smart phone or tablet. There appears to be ample room in the storage compartment inside for a larger battery. The storage space for the charging cable would be sacrificed of course, but as it is not a proprietary cable, the vast majority of users will have this charging cable.

It is excellent! Guys, thank you very much for your products! It is checked by me now in Ukraine. My wife sent us your flashlight and we use it every day. We have a blackout almost every other day. And your flashlight will not be replaced. Trouble-free and reliable! The battery capacity is fully consistent with the declared technical data. The support team is great too. All my questions were answered quickly and completely. All requests were met! I recommend to everyone!!! Thank you very much guys!!!!

Love this little light
I love this little guy. I have two similar lights that I love but this one is my favorite. It is small and easy to handle.I am very clumsy and dropped it while it was on. No problem, although I am severely disabled and it was black in the room, I was able to get it with my reaching tool. It is small and easy to handle but very bright. It dims down to a comfortable soft level. Although it says it is yellow, it is a lovely green as pictured. I am so glad I got it.

Holds Charge A Long Time
I've been very happy with these lights. I purchased one five years ago and it still works great. I just purchased a second one. The light is very bright and when unused, it holds a charge for many, many months. I haven't really tested how many hours the battery can provide light, but whenever I have needed it for short term outages of one night, it has never failed me. With a solar panel for recharging this can provide light indefinitely.

Very nice little lantern - ideal for many uses
After a recent power outage, I wanted something dependable and compact - this sure fits the bill! I like the size - it is everything promised - and well worth the money.

A must have for emergencies.
The light is bright ! When there is a power outage, this is a great lamp to have. Also can charge your mobile phone. A heavy duty product that is well made. With all the crazy storms, I strongly recommend having one of these in your home or car.

400 lm only lasts 45 minutes - you have been warned !
Let me start by saying that I have purchased 2 of these lanterns and both exhibit the same issues (or perhaps its just a feature?). I was initially drawn to them for their ability to output "400 lumen for 24 hours". This is stated in their manual/website and can be observed in the attachment I have provided. While testing on high power (400lm), I couldn't help but notice that on returning after a short while the room seemed to be a little darker than before. I tried the second lantern I purchased and also noticed a decrease in output after a period of time.Prior to testing, both lanterns had been on charge for an additional 24 hours past the point at which the lantern indicated they were fully charged (solid green light). This was to ensure that the batteries would not be in doubt. To confirm my suspicions with regards the decrease in light output I decided to use an Extech light meter with data logging functionality (SDL400). I placed the meter alongside the lantern inside a darken room and started the lantern in high power mode (400lm). I returned after a few hours to check on the data captured by the meter. The results (see the chart attached) clearly show that after 45 minutes the lantern has considerably reduced its output level from where it started. In fact, as soon as its switched on, the chart shows a rapid plummet in output before it settles down into a more gradual yet continuous decline in output until the battery is finally drained.I have presented these findings to tough light support but I have not received anything back from them.So to conclude - I'm not questioning the build quality or functions that this lantern provides. What is in dispute here is the claim of "400lm output for a duration of 24 hours". If you are an occasional user of this light or only use it for short periods then you might not notice any performance issues. If you have 2 of these like myself then you don't need any fancy light meters to see the issue. Simply switch on another lantern on high mode and hold it alongside the other. If the light has been on for several hours then you should be able to visibly see the difference in output levels. It could be that other lantern manufacturers also employ these techniques to extend battery life for the quoted lumen outputs. Without access to other lanterns I wouldn't know.
