Beautiful Machine
She's my pride and joy, I love this machine and I'm so proud of it - I don't even know if you can still buy them since they are an anniversary item, but it they do, I recommend it - I have three other sewing machines and this is the one I prefer, not necessarily because it a top machine because my other two are Singer Machines also, but I just love this look of it!

Love the retro look- disappointed in the performance
I love the retro look of this machine. I hate the way it sews. I continually have thread sensor (C6) issues..so you rethread just to get it again. I also have tension issues a lot..I tried switching thread...switching needles. .using the manual. It's just a pain....its disappointing...when I sit down to sew I just want to sew not mess with my machine. It's really sad that singer did not do a better job making this machine..When I replace this machine I will not be buying a singer...new singer is not the same as the old singers.

Love it!
My wife bought this for me as a birthday gift to replace my old sewing machine. It is awesome and my older eyes really appreciate the self threading.

I should have used it for target practice
This is by far the BIGGEST PIECE OF CRAP I'VE EVER BOUGHT! It lasted for 2 uses, then the needle threader stopped working. I tried to manually thread the needle, then the bobbin thread stopped getting picked up. After that it just stopped working all together. I let it sit for several months and went back to my 1960s sewing machine that has NEVER failed. I decided to give it one more try to sew a zipper into a hoodie and the pedal wouldn't work at all. After an hour of trying to get it to work, reading the manual, watching videos on line, I finally gave up, picked it up, and literally threw it out the window. (Not an exaggeration) I feel better knowing that at least now it has a reason to not work since its busted all to hell and thrown in the dumpster. While it looked cool, that's about all it was good for. Well, that and taking out some pent up aggression.

Errors
Although it is an upgrade from my 20 year old basic Singer (Has fancier stitches, the ability to move the needle left and right, it has a vertical thread holder, etc.) I am currently considering a new machine. Some times when I am sewing I get the C6 error (thread sensor) out of no-where . It will sew maybe 5 stitches, then stop itself & flash the error, then I'll check everything, re-thread everything, and try again, 5 more stitches later the machine stops and flashes C6 again. I adjust the tension, re-thread again, resume sewing only to have the machine stop yet again to flash me the C6 error. And like I said, it does this at random. I can sew with the same thread and bobbin for 20 or 30 minutes before it decides something is wrong with the thread and will completely just stop. I have been sewing for years on my 20 year old manual basic singer and never had a problem with the thread that I couldn't figure out. There appears to be no problem with the thread on this Heritage machine but it keeps saying there is at random times. Its only happened a few times out of the hundreds of times I have used it, but it is so frustrating and makes sewing take much longer than it should as you try and figure out what is wrong with this finicky machine. I don't know if its just my machine, otherwise I am happy with it. Its a great improvement over my old one even with the occasional frustration.

Gorgeous.
Big and beautiful. I haven't given it five stars since I haven't sewn anything with it yet.

Light weight
great machine that does just want I bought it for. I take it to quilting classes because it is so light.

I am sorry to say...
When I saw this machine advertised I just couldn't wait to get my hands on it. It finally arrived, beautiful design albeit a little plasticky... still no biggie. Switched it on, threaded the machine, pressed the foot pedal and my heart sunk. Simply the machine is too noisy, it sounds like a really cheap sewing machine you would pick up in Aldi or Lidl, trust me I have enough of them. I am a keen crafter and experienced sewer, just so disappointed, 'Singer' could have done a lot better, I have Pfaff machines for half the price that purr like cats. I regret to say it's a big no no on this one.
