First, this is adorable and funny. Second, it works well and grips the floor. The version I got said it was the most up-to-date and it features a little reservoir you could fill with sand or rice to give it more weight. I am using a heavier than average door without filling the stopper and it works just fine.

It's just as cute in real life as it looks on the site. It works well enough. In the photo I uploaded that is a floating fabricated flooring on membrane over concrete slab. In Michigan, U.S. that floor gets cold. Some days the grippy silicone pad under the stopper hardens I think and it slips. On warm days the stopper holds as if screwed to the floor. On a carpet you'd find it easier to rip the handle out of the door before you get the stopper to slide.After taking the posted photo I cleaned the floor to remove all dust. I also cleaned the bottom of the stopper. I'm writing this review after five days of observation. I think my guess that temperature influences performance is a good one. I cleaned, and dried the brand new floor. I cleaned, and dried the silicone foot on the stopper. For a week I've been testing if the door will swing closed when I tug the handle. On colder days its more likely to slip, and the door swing as if the stopper isn't there.I did take it upstairs to my carpeted rooms, and confirm that it is an absolutely awesome doorstop in that circumstance.
