Held Up to Every Use
I bought this twine specifically for use in several projects in preparation of my son's third birthday carnival. As you can see in the attached photos, I used it as both a display for my carnival prizes as long as ties for signage and securing various decorations. It was also used as a balloon string to unify the decorations. For strength, it served my purposes. I tied it around several posts supporting our covered back patio, secured up by a simple thumbtack to keep them from slouching down the poles. I pulled it as taut as I could without snapping it and proceeded to clothespin up tons of prizes, from inexpensive bags of novelties to 44" inflatable bananas to plastic bags filled with water and fake fish. The prizes were up all day without the jute fraying, failing, or breaking. It looked as good at 8 o'clock at night as it did at 10 in the morning, and we had a beautiful but breezy day that day. (See pictures.)Additionally, I threaded it through simple signage and secured it from tacks. Worked fine despite breezes blowing the signs back and forth. But the best test of this jute for me was in my most complicated project of the party. As part of a photo wall, I designed and assembled a marquee made of scrapbooking paper, foam core and bubble lights, but there were some additional challenges when I went to display it. The letters themselves were heavy under the immense weight of the lighting, so I rigged a system that involved "sewing" the letters onto another board of foamcore with the twine. Once I had secured them, I had to hang the display, which was the trickiest part and the best test of the strength of this twine.Because I did not want to nail this into my wall, I used four simple thumbtacks pressed into the ceiling and crown molding. This was hard to do by myself, and at first, the thumbtacks kept splitting and fraying the twine threads. After some trial and error and some simple knots in the twine, I secured the sign to the ceiling as you can see in the two photos, and it stayed all night and all day the next day without any drooping or breaking. In the end, this twine worked just as I had hoped for all my anticipated and unanticipated uses. You get a ton of it for a very reasonable price, and even with as much of it as a used, I still have more than a half a spool to use in future projects. Solid buy.

Not very sturdy
Bought this to tied a tarp around my Christmas tree to take it for disposal. It broke several times just trying to tie up the tree.

fibers fall off, but no big deal
I used this product to do a Christmas craft (http://blog.consumercrafts.com/seasonal/winter/cinnamon-stick-tree-ornaments/) along with these other products: Canadian Pine Rope - Green - 3/4 inch x 25 feet , Blumenthal Lansing Company Favorite Findings 4-Ounce Big Bag of Buttons, Multi , and Yankee Traders Brand, Cinnamon Sticks 3 Inch, 1/2 Pound Pack but I would not recommend the cinnamon sticks (wrote a 2 star review). This worked fine for my purpose, it was just to hang a light-weight ornament. It did "shed" a lot, so after cutting I had to clean the table of all the fibers. I liked the look of it, not a clean white, but more rustic looking which went well with my ornament. Satisfied.

My Plants Love It!
Really nice twine so far. I have mostly used it to tie sticks for my tomato and mint plants. You can also use a water bottle (drill a hole in the cap) and insert an end of twine (make a knot to hold it in place) and put the other end in the soil. Use another piece of twine to tie the bottle (upside down) to a stick and you have a water dispenser for your plants! The water runs along the twine and gradually distributes itself to water the plant. This is perfect for vacations and to avoid under or over watering your plants. Since the twine is thin, it is not suitable for heavy work unless you use several lengths tied together to make it thicker. Pretty cool to braid a plant hanger, too.

Good for nautical crafts, sturdy a little difficult to tie
There is a good amount to work with. I ran a little short on my 3rd vase but that was with one spool. I didn’t like that it was actually two peices tied together. The knot towards the end really threw off my project. I love the rough texture but it some places that makes it hard to knot. Overall though it is decent craft twine.

Served the Purpose Well!
I have a kitty condo that needed a little maintenance. This item is something that was used on some on the scratching ar I rely on review to make my purchases. If you find my review helpful, please click yes for me. Thanks!eas. It would make sense that these areas are the most used by the girls. The quality is very good and it serves the purpose very well. It is a bit fine so that is something to be aware of in consideration of what your need for this is.
