City Farmer USA Large Raised Vegetable Planter

This is constructive criticism for the seller and fellow customers. Despite the price tag being a bit steep ($119) I wanted to support a smaller vendor as opposed to a big box supplier. The product has serval flaws: (1) The plastic parts are so poorly manufactured. It looks like someone cut the plastic parts with a hand saw (see photo). (2) The parts just don't fit nicely. Pieces should click, slide and fit with each other easily. (3) You need to duct tape the seams to prevent water and soil from leaking through...really? For $119 you at least provide a small roll of duct tape so we don't have a chance to complain how poorly manufactured this thing is. (4) The instructions are worse than IKEA. At least IKEA has clear pictures, the instructions have been photocopied so many times you can't tell what the pictures represent. I hope the seller has the opportunity to find a different manufacturer for their design. I am keeping it only because I had already purchased my seedlings and wanted to move forward.

There are no drainage holes in this raised bed. I assembled it, left it on my patio, then it rained heavily. I came out to find three inches of standing water sitting in the basin of each of this bed. I was shocked, as the sides had been described as "mesh." Except, the mesh doesn't begin until four inches up. Imagine what might happen to your plants if three inches of water sits around their roots and never drains? Yeah. Trash. I had to stab holes in the base of the bed with an awl to make this worth keeping. I'm not surprised there aren't any others available for purchase currently. See photos.

It took forever to assemble. It’s not very sturdy.

Quality was not what I expected, do love the concept. Also, I was missing parts and had to make do with what I had, the 90 year old mother-in-law needed her garden planted now.
