Good value pool cue

Ideal present for beginner

If you want a cheap pool cue, for fun or to get started this seems fine. But the quality is not great. I suspect there's a lot of variation, so you might get lucky.A mixed bag of comments:Mine is not particularly straight, the tip of the cue is about half an inch out of true.The butt end is badly finished, with a wonky cut and the bumper not screwed on straight.There is a label at the end of the butt which says 17oz. But in fact it weights slightly less than 15oz.It's advertised with a gloss finish, but this doesn't cover the whole of the cue, the gloss lacquer goes only to just beyond the joint, the tip end is mostly unlacquered with a smooth dry finish, which might not offer as much protection, but doesn't stick to your resting hand; so I think I might like that.The tip is shipped very tight, which others have commented on. But I found that a twist jam jar opener had no trouble shifting it without damage.

Does what it says on the tin. Nice weight, great cueing. No thrills, a perfect, cost effective solution for taking to a club where all the club cues are either bowed or damaged. Fast deliver, well packaged, arrived within 24 hours.

A good cue for a reasonable price. Tip was a little flat, but I'd ordered some spares & it was easy to unscrew & replace it.

Delivered quickly. Two pieces of the cue screw together smoothly. Wood looks nice.

Cheap and cheerful. I ordered 4 of these. Two were pretty straight, one was a little bent and one is like a banana. These are be used on a free table in a holiday home so will only get abused anyway. I wouldn't buy them if you are semi serious.
