Great idea. Simple design. Easy install.
I've rigged up multiple chicken feeders over the years. Since I keep the food outside the coop, but inside the run, it's always exposed to the elements. These feeders are perfect.Super simple installation. (Get help from cat if needed)1. Choose any container you like, I use a 5 gallon bucket, but you could use a garbage can for larger flocks, or even a plastic tote.2. Use the included hole saw to drill your holes.3. Put the rubber gasket over the white threads and hand tighten the red nut.4. Fill with chicken feed and gravity will take care of the rest.Chickens figured it out in a matter of minutes.Keep the lid on the bucket and the white hoods keeps water out of the food which helps with waste. The design also helps with chickens wasting food by spilling it on the ground. I mean, they still do stupid stuff since they're chickens, but this has cut down on a lot of waste. I've gained almost a week between feedings.Definitely recommend for your flock!

Inexpensive DIY feeder that works.
I had been using a galvanized metal hanging feeder in my coop that was easy and convenient, but offered nothing in the way of keeping my chickens from scattering their food all around the floor. It was incredibly wasteful and getting very expensive. I read a couple of forum posts about how to make your own no-mess feeder, but they were both overly complicated IMO. Then while searching feeders on Amazon I found these feeder ports for making your own DIY no-mess feeder and I realized that they do exactly what the homemade ones in the forum do but with less work and expense, and much neater. I ordered a set from Amazon and I got a 5-gal food-safe bucket and lid from HomeDepot (sorry Amazon, but HomeDepot’s price was much better). After taking 15-20 minutes to study pieces and make some measurements, I used the included hole saw in my cordless drill to make the holes in the bucket, placing the center of each hole 3 inches from the bottom. I cleaned out the plastic shavings from inside the bucket (they cling tenaciously) and fitted the feeding ports. Everything went together easily and my new DIY no-mess feeder hangs just where the old one went. It didn’t take long for my chickens to figure out how it works. The manufacturer claims that chickens are attracted to the bright red color of the screw-on flanges, and I did notice that my hens did seem to study them closely before first poking their heads into the holes. Most other brands have all white ports, so you may want to give that some consideration when choosing. Good product, and I would buy it again.

Chicken feeder
These are easy to install using a drill with the enclosed bit. I have had no leakage with very heavy rains of late. The quality and appearance are great for the money. They come with silicone seals so that they fit well. The chickens found the feed rather quickly and I have very little waste from scratching. I do suggest sitting it up on a stand or a block as seen in my picture.

Easy to install and use
I install these in buckets and plastic bins to use as outdoor feeders. While they wont protect against driving rain they generally keep the feed dry and allow chickens and ducks to feed with limited waste. The openings are a bit small for geese, turkeys, and large duck breeds....The feeders come with red caps that can be used to block the feeders and keep pests out at night. This is a nice feature but i seldom bother with it as the caps are always lost somewhere. The product could be improved by adding a way to add an integral shutting mechanism

Importante considerare l’altezza da terra
Considerato che l’altezza da terra del fissaggio deve essere il più basso possibile per ottimizzare ilMinor intervento di ricarica ma deve anche risultare di comodo accesso da parte dei pennuti

Great feeders
I've bought a similar set before and this is my second purchase so I can make more food buckets. It's great to prevent other critters (mice, sparrows) entering and spoiling food, they prevent moisture and prevent any pecking issues while eating.Take care in you chicken size, I have no issue with australorp hens, but my rooster had issues at start with his comb, but hunger makes him stick his head in the feeder. I would suggest different feeder sizes for different chicken breeds if possible or go the do it yourself route for roosters.

Hyper pratique
