The Best of the Best
After searching for a quality colander for many weeks on and off, we decided (based on the review) to give this a go.I'm so glad we did.We spied some of lesser quality for the same price in TK Maxx which we was ummin and arrin at buying then. I'm glad we waited. A similar priced product was also listed which was he same generic product in TK Maxx with a different brand name, so we knew this was completely separate due to its design. We have been using a cheap pound sieve which has superior drainage buit a nightmare picking bits of pasta out of it. The Raishi did the job well and although wasn't as good as the sieve (which we knew it wouldn't be) its holds the weight alot better and can stand the heat. All in all, I'm happy we took the plunge. We also got a nice personalised message from the director of the company asking us our thoughts about his products and what was the our main criteria for buying his opposed to others which was a great touch. This proves he cares about giving the customer what they want on his next line of products. No regrets.

Drain-less
Exceptionally large & very strong Stainless Steel used for the purpose, but it doesn't drain very well.It you look at the magnified images you'll note that the holes for draining are in diamond clusters situated around the Colander. The rim of the Colander at the top and bottom is just solid metal, with holes at the base - a base which has a narrower circumference than the circumference at the top.In other words, the size is great, but there's more metal than holes - and the holes is what separates a Colander from a pot/pan more suited to steaming veg. It's just as well that at the time of writing this Review the item is 'currently unavailable'.Thank You!

Robust and really good size
I'm very pleased with the colander. I had another stainless steel colander for years which was a different design - no standing feet and a long handle. Eventually the handle broke off, which is why I needed a new colander. The new one is a better design than the old one as it can stand on its own on the draining board and it's easier to store as it doesn't have an awkward long handle. I prefer stainless steel as I feel it's more robust than some other materials - better for draining hot foods like pasta. The colander is a really good size, with plenty of room for draining a pan of spaghetti or for cleaning a big lettuce. That's what I was looking for and I am not disappointed.

Old School Quality
After years of use our metal colander handles dropped off. Initially I purchased a cheaper item from Amazon which looked exactly like my old colander. However when it arrived it felt like thick tin foil.So I returned that one and purchased this one instead and it is perfect. The handles are riveted on and the whole thing has a satisfying weight to it. As a bonus it is deeper than a standard colander which means less things jump out when draining them.Don't think twice about the cheaper ones this one is, as I already stated, perfect.

I am happy to say I am delighted with the colander
I am happy to say I am delighted with the colander, it oozes quality and it’s also very attractive to look at! I’m sure it will last a very long time and has pride of place in my cupboard, it replaced a cheap and nasty plastic one that I had but I’m trying to reduce my use of plastic goods generally so thought this one fits the bill.I also got a personal message from the co-founder of the company asking if I was satisfied, you can't say that with big companies can you? A nice personal touch which is missing from consumer purchases these day. If you're in the market for a new colander give this one a go, I promise you won't regret it.

This is the best Colander I have ever had
This is the best Colander I have ever had. After a lot of research and reading of all kinds of product reviews I was attracted by the superb customers' comments on this colander. Order was made intermediately and received promptly. After few weeks' experience I have to say it is a robust built piece of kitchen equipment.

Overall pretty good. It is pretty big
Overall pretty good. It is pretty big, maybe a wee bit big for me - batchelor boy; but will be good for washing kurly kale, lettuce leaves, pak choy; and all those carbs that need draining. Good in the summer for washing all those Mary berries. I like the design and shape: more upwards and taller than short and broad. So plenty of depth. So well done to its creator. No real regrets. Good for families and would cope easily with a large cauliflower. Received a positive email from supplier saying I will contact you soon to see how I am getting along with it - nice touch. Good thank you.

A CUT ABOVE THE REST
Much better quality than I have seen at any price any where. Sturdy, and practical, no more fishing pasta out of the sink when it overflows thanks to the high rim. Yes it is only a colander, but it is important to have a decent one to avoid spilling boiling water and food about.
