Got this for my dad who loves fixing things. With average independent mechanic rates at £60 per hour and franchised dealers up to 4x that it makes sense to fix as much as you can yourself. But cars are becoming more complex and you now need decent scan tools to change a battery properly or to retract the rear brakes . There are loads of options on the market but I had heard good things about Topdon. He has wanted one for a while. This scanner is at the top end of the pricing for diy eqpt but has a massive range of features that will more than cope with the most demanding DIY person. Battery replacements, brakes, dpf regeneration, module coding as well as bidirectional controls to name but a few. It also comes with 2 year software updates for free. You can buy cheaper scanners but the last thing you want is for it to not be able to do the test that you need, or read the code that you want when you are in the middle of trying to fix something. In box is a solid case, great for storage but also protective of the device itself. It also holds all of the accessories, loads of connectors for different vehicles as well as a charger, cable and instruction manual - see the video attached. The unit itself has a very ergonomic feel to it.They have obviously thought about it as it also includes a pull-out stand and this can be used stand up on the seat or to hold it around steering wheels when in use giving free use of your two hands. Attached are some screenshots from an Audi SQ5 and a Ford ST. The system does a full automatic diagnostic and you can email once completed. Very professional if you are charging for your services. As I said in the title, it is absolutely stupid to not spend enough on tools. There are cheaper scanners about but I doubt that they will have the features of this one as well as 2 years of free software updates. I think if you bought this you would not be disappointed.

Nice size and easy to handle. Instruction are quite easy to folow and understand. Battery lasts a good while without running out. Nice, easy to read and follow display. Up grades are quick and fairly frequent. Plenty of service items to reset and calibrate and relearns. Easy to use and very compact. Loads of different manufacturers to connect to. Worth the investment for DIY and professional users. You can actuate some components on the vehicles to test if they are operating correctly. All in all a good reasonably priced tool with great features

Really useful. Straight away, this has allowed my to solve an emissions related problem, due to a temerature sensor, and also an electronic handbrake issue on another vehicle. You need it connected to wifi for best results, and database access, but I could do that by hotspotting on phone, no prolbem. Not a negative, but you do need to have an understanding of car systems, and then this is a brilliant tool.

Used the Topdon Artidiag Pro and it has performed reliably across multiple uses. It connects very quickly and has a wide range of features covering pretty much all aspects of diagnostic work. The unit is fast in general thanks to the direct connection with no Bluetooth lag and live data updates are quick and responsive. Battery life is great and it also charges via the OBD port while in use which is a really useful feature. The interface is very intuitive and easy to use even when navigating more advanced functions. The screen share feature is also a standout addition making remote assistance straightforward if needed. The bi directional functions make testing and fault finding much easier and it has been great for programming in new sensors and carrying out more advanced diagnostics. It also supports hybrid and high voltage battery functions as well as IM readiness checks which adds even more versatility. Vehicle coverage is very wide and even includes brands like Ferrari. There is no Tesla support which is understandable given how specific those systems are but worth noting as there are more of them on the road now. It comes with two years of free software updates. After that it is over two hundred pounds a year but it is not strictly necessary to renew as all previously downloaded software continues to work. Build quality feels very solid. The unit itself is sturdy and the case is tough enough that it feels like it could take a knock without any issues. One downside is that although it appears to be a newer version than advertised which is a positive it did not include the twelve plus eight adapters as listed. For that reason I have knocked off one star as it is not quite as described. Overall a very capable fast and easy to use diagnostic tool with a huge range of features just slightly let down by missing accessories. Overall good value for money as has many garage level features for a lower cost. Aimed at the enthusiast to professional as is a mid entry price point. Resets a large variety of service issues as well as performs functions such as force DPF cleaning.

The product itself is really good in terms of functionality and for the price would be a 5* review. Aside from the bidirectional controls what I really like is the workshop instructions for how to perform a repair or task when there is not a digital option for performing maintenance. However after 3 uses one of the pins snapped off the port for the obd2 connection rendering the device useless. I have contacted topdon support and if they address the defective item to the same standards that they have built the software I'll update this review accordingly.

Funciona muy bien, con algunos modelos antiguos hay que seleccionar a mano para poder por ejemplo codificar los inyectores ya que desde el panel principal no conecta pero manualmente va perfecto la verdad que para llegar a sacarle todo el partido hay que usarlo mucho y en muchos modelos de coches
