Peter Rabbit: The Angry Owl - Read it yourself with Ladybird: Level 2

This is a nice series of children's books. All seem to be priced around the £4.99 mark. A handy size (pictured next to my HD 10 for scale) They are very slim paperbacks although the card covers are fairly thick and shiny. They seem like they would be easily wipe able from small sticky fingers. What I like about this series is their short length. You can let them pick two or three for bedtime secure in the knowledge you will be done in under ten minutes. Each book has guidance in how to engage your child at the front and some simple tasks at the back to test their memory. This particular story sees Old Brown the Owl chasing the mischievous Squirrel Nutkin who is aided by his friends Peter Rabbit, Benjamin, Lily, Jeremy Fisher, and Mrs Tiggy-Winkle. Spoilers ahead...Old Brown is thwarted and the Rabbits rule the day. Approx 280 words long.

A very well presented book and my granddaughter was delighted with it. She set to read it straight away, Very good for the little ones to learn to read. A delightful story.
