Nespresso Capsules VertuoLine, Hazelino, Medium Roast Coffee Pods, Brews 7.8oz,10 Count (Pack of 3)

For years we used a Gaggia Espresso machine. Every coffee was a labor of love and varied depending on the when we ground it, how hard we tamped it, whether the machine was running optimally (or at all - my husband seemed to be forever buying parts and repairing it) etc etc.Then my lovely daughter gave me the Vertuoline for my birthday. I admit, I wasn't sure about it when I first opened the box, coffee snob that I am. But every cup that comes out of this machine is pretty darn good. Plus it's always the same - none of that morning sadness when I somehow breathed wrong, while making coffee in the Gaggie and it came out crap.The Vertuoline is super quick every morning (just roll out of bed, stagger into kitchen, plop the pod in and hey presto you are drinking coffee a minute later) Brilliant! No mess, (the Gaggia was very messy) no fuss and most importantly the coffee tastes pretty damn good! Not “intense, tattooed, uber cool barista in Melbourne Australia or New York” great, but pretty damn good and certainly better than anything I can get in current neck of the woods, including in my kitchen (at least consistently) before this. So I'm on board!I also received a box of every single coffee they make along with my birthday gift (I just knew I gave birth to that girl for a reason and all that hard work is finally paying off!!)Surprisingly to me, the Hazelnut soon became my favorite. I am generally a fan of medium roast, toasty rich coffee flavors. Although the Hazelino is a light roast it is made more full bodied with the toasty nutty flavor. I actually never liked hazelnut coffee before! But to me these don't have the nasty overpowering candied flavor of artificial hazelnuts like every other hazelnut coffee I have ever reluctantly tried. Just a warm full bodied flavor that tastes like coffee, with a hint of nut.Some of the lighter roast pods tasted a bit sour to me, and when I discussed that with my coffee expert daughter she said that is common with light roasts (who knew?) but the flavor of the coffee comes through stronger with a light roast. But now I know why I never liked light roasted coffee. Hazelino has a touch of that light roasted sourness too, but not as much as some of the others.I have yet to find the perfect (for me) rich creamy medium roast Vertuoline pod. But until Nespresso extends their range the hazelnut is the best stand in while I am waiting for my dream pod. (SEE UPDATE BELOW)The hazelnut is the only one I have actually purchased since I got my machine. I am still working through all the freebies I got (did I mention how much I love my daughter?) but once I ran out of the hazelnut pods I had to stock back up. The decaf is quite good too (I am generally a 1 cup a day person, but sometimes in the afternoon have been indulging in a decaf since I got the Vertuoline 'cause one just isn't enough!)If this review has been helpful to you, please click the helpful button. Money saving tip! buy these 3packs!I go through at least 1 pod a day, if you have a family likely you go through more.The 3 pack comes out to basically $11 per. Retail price is $12 per. so save 3 dollars in total, and going through 3 packs a month, in 10 years youll have saved $360!....if they keep this pricing for 10 years. and coffee still exists in the world........and if the world still exists.

I bought my Nespresso Vertuo 3 years ago as my brother owns one. I purchased and tested the flavors. Being German I loved the Hazelino and would purchase multiple packs every month along with other varieties. Then Nespresso has to toy with their flavor profiles and make changes as a marketing ploy to generate more sales. Due to this instead of giving you a 5 you receive a 2 for terrible marketing. Next time add to the flavors instead of taking one away.In spite of the near ending expiration dates on new purchases, exorbitant cost and occasional dented pod I drank Nespresso coffee twice a day. Bad move to add new flavor profiles and remove product lines that your customers appreciated. Hazelino Muffin is not "better". So from a 5 to a 2.

I love hazelnut, but couldn't find k-cup types that were any good. My husband took a chance and surprised me with a Nespresso Vertuo machine for Valentine's Day. So, I had to try the Hazelino flavored coffee.OMG, This is the winner! The most natural, flavorful hazelnut coffee I've ever had. Even while it's brewing it fills the kitchen with toasted hazelnut aromas, just as if I were toasting the actual nuts! The coffee foam is so rich that adding cream is totally optional.Also, the other espresso types are very good so far.

I just couldn’t love this coffee. Tried the Hazelino and almost every other Nespresso pod. Every single one taste so bitter to me. I love coffee and frequent coffee shops for a good espresso or latte. This just didn’t fit the bill. Maybe it’s just me but I couldn’t get past the bitter “bite” of this coffee brand. Ordered my machine from the company. Returned it 2 weeks later. Going back to old school coffee maker. I’ll keep buying the occasional latte for now.

These Nespresso refills are about the same price on Amazon and on Nespresso's website, but I like being able to order just a few specific flavors here. The Hazelino is one of my favorites. It arrived promptly and I had no issues with it. I don't consider any of the Nespresso Vertuoline capsules a good value as compared to brewing a pot of coffee, but I do like them for the mornings when I want a super-fast brew.

Moved into a new office for 4 months. They had a Nespresso machine there that used these. I loved it immediately. This Hazelino is my personal favorite flavor. Had to hide them so coworkers didn't nab em. Now, I have to buy a Nespresso machine for my normal office. Don't think I'll be able to go back to the regular coffee machine. But these are great.

The CORRECT pod is the one that says “Hazelino”. The flavor is delicious and strong! The other pod that just shows the “N” for Nespresso is INCORRECT. The flavor is off and isn’t strong like it normally is. If you receive it, be sure to return it for your $ back or to be sent the right pods!!!
