MilliputEpoxy Putty, Black (2)

I wanted to share how I am able to use Milliputto fix resin statues. I was able to remould a hand on this monkey in situ and the colour matches. It dried extremely solidly - which for this piece is important since the hand also holds a light fitting. I was able to work with the putty for a good hour to ensure that I could create a suitable replacement. It had dried solid by the evening and I was able to apply a little more putty to the bits I wasn't happy with. My advice would be to ensure you mix an equal measure of both sticks of the resin provided. Keep your mix wrapped in cling film if you are going to be working for a while since it will start to cure as soon as air touches it. The results are outstanding! You cannot tell the hand has been remade. The colour match is perfect - pitch black. It feels very similar to the original material. I also fixed a similar statue in white and achieved the same results.

First time using this stuff so wasn't sure what to expect. I've used filler so small modelling jobs before but needed something black and hard wearing to mould as a cap for a heavily modified ebike battery.So, mixed per the instructions but it ended up really sticky so was very messy to use. The little bits that drop off while working it stain anything black so watch out.It eventually dried out a bit and meant that I could get a half decent finish on the job but disappointing that I could have got a much better finish with filler.Main problem is that it never did cure hard. It is still a bit soft and easily damaged six weeks later.Maybe I did something wrong with it but I'll not bother with it again.

This is the best epoxy I've used, it allows you a little time to work with before it set allowing you time to mould it to shape I couldn't imagine ever using anything else, after it's set you can paint or whatever you decide

Very good adhesive for filling gaps or sealing or joining I use it regularly fot these and general purposes. Sets solid after about 3 hours. Can't fault it.

Mix the two pack it well. It did a perfect job on sealing a joint on a plastic gutter downpipe to a metal hopper and no painting needed as it was the right black colour.
