This electric fireplace has proven both attractive and functional. We had our basement re-done into a family room this past summer, which offered a lot of benefits, but one drawback was that we cut off the furnace venting into the space. The venting that had been in there before was a cheap patch job and there was just no effective way to replicate it. So, while we had already planned to put an electric fireplace into a bump-out for our TV, we knew we needed one with heat. We had the electrician put in an extra line for the fireplace behind the bump-out and installation wasn't challenging - but our contractor had done a great job framing up the opening in the bump-out for the fireplace, so I can't speak to how easy it is for someone to retrofit a wall for this. The Tuya app connected to the fireplace just fine, but if you use Feit Electric smart lights or other smart stuff, the Feit Electric app will also connect to this. Occasional firmware updates have installed just fine. And as for the heat, it's great. We're having the coldest winter in a couple years here in New York City, and the heat this little guy pumps out is just enough to take the chill off in our new family room. We've got baseboard heaters to really warm it up if we really wanted to, but we almost never turn them on if the electric fireplace is running. We really do enjoy this electric fireplace. The only small complaint is that occasionally the app doesn't activate the heat - it'll control everything else (flame speed/color/brightness etc.), but the heat doesn't start up. But in that situation, the remote control and the front panel buttons do still work. So, it's something with the app and not the fireplace itself.

Easy to install, look pretty kool

The media could not be loaded. I’ve had this for around a month. At first it worked great and I love it. Suddenly it has stopped working. When I turn it on it stays on for less than half a second and turns off. I’ve looked in the manual and there is no troubleshooting section. I can’t find any contact information for a technical support or customer service department. Please let me know how to fix this or send me a replacement and I’ll change the review.

I purchased this in January and had run into an issue with my remodel in the living room. Here I am just over my 30 day return window and I just unboxed and plugged it in and it will not turn on or even light up! Yes I have power and it is a single line for the fireplace. Something is wrong with it and now I am stuck with it! Please help, let me know if there is anything I can do! I don’t even see a reset button anywhere. I hate this!Update! They are sending me a new one! I am so excited! I will update again once I receive the new one. Customer service is fantastic! They sent me another one the same day! I am currently using it and I am in love with it! This has so many color combinations and is so serene to watch! It definitely made my living-room more homey.

I love the simplicity of the fireplace and the many functions it has. It’s slim sleek and the vent that blows the heat can hardly be seen. There is a vent that blows the heat out of the top and needs to be clear of any mount. Other than that it was easy to install.
