Yes it sharpens knives BUT.....
if you have knives that were expensive I would not use this product. It can take small pieces out of the knife being sharpened. This will then need to be redone on a whetstone to get the edge back. If its just general kinives that you want to sharpen quickly I would say use carefully and dont put pressure on the handle when running across the knife and it will do the job. I personally would not used this on any knives.
