Not a beginner's yarn and I would say more of a size 4 needle than 5. Also the thickness is variable. But looks so cool, love the sheen/silky appearance and the softness. It's unusual.

After reading some of the reviews of this yarn I was a little hesitant to try it but was very pleasantly surprised. The colors are beautiful and my project, a crocheted boho sweater that reaches to the floor, is turning out quite nicely. This is the third sweater of this type I have made, the first with this yarn, and it's beautiful.To address some of what others have said:I have not found the yarn to be at all difficult to work with. I am on my 4th skein and have not had any problems with sticking or knotting up. I somehow managed to pull out the entire center of a skein when I was just trying to get the starting piece. Admittedly, I did have the usual mess one would expect in that situation but I used it as it was and had no difficulties at all until I was close to the end and even that was manageable. On the other skeins I was able to locate the starting yarn on the outside of the skein and just let it unwind as I went.I've had to do plenty of frogging when I had to frog an entire row of nearly 200 DC stitches. I had no issues with that. It came apart and was redone without a hitch. Twice there was a slight pull where the yarn had stuck but that was all.It is a roving yarn with varying weights. That has only added to the character of my project. Most of it has been a light weight yarn, around a 3, not the 4 as the listing indicated.For reference, I used a size G hook and most of the stitches are DC or TC crochet. Perhaps those who are using smaller needles or doing fine knitting projects would have experiences others have mentioned but I am looking forward to working more with this yarn, including some knitting. I think this would be a great yarn for sweaters, baby blankets, hats, scarves, shawls and mittens.

Not easy to crochet with. It's the consistency of home spun yarn in some places. Very thin in other. One skien was lighter in color than the others.

This yarn is beautiful! Only downfall is the fuzzy and uneven places on the yarn.

This yarn makes a beautiful finished product. It works for cowls, gloves, sweaters and more. I've never been dissatisfied with a purchase of this. Keep in mind it is a roving product and it will always exceed expectations ❣️

I love the variegated roving nature of this yarn. My project uses both knit and crochet and both parts look great.Since I bought the set of three they all had the same dye lot.

This yarn is very hard to work with. Definitely not recommended for beginner crocheters. This is supposed to be a 4 ply yarn, some part of the yarn there are only 2 ply. Some other parts of the yarn are super thick. There are also a lot knots within skein of the yarn that makes it hard to work with. You better hope you don't make a mistake while you are crocheting, because frogging is totally out of the question, the yarn does not allow it, the yarn breaks apart.

I absolutely LOVE this yarn, it is my favorite yarn of all time, it is beautiful and soft and the colours are so vibrant.
