Smiffys 45193 Deluxe Boa, Red, One Size

The “Deluxe” in the title made me expect a boa more full that it is. A bit disappointed, but will go with my costume.

Worth the money

Looked great the only down fall I left a trail of feathers everywhere I went but still not bald at the end of the night

Comes fluffy and as pictured. However, shorty later many feathers started falling out and makes such a mess.

The boa looked so full and fluffy in the photo but was rather thin and shed so much fluff

I used this to cover polystyrene balls to make a chick for an easter bonnet competition at work. I won!

At first look the boa seemed really good - nice and thick, packaged really well, soft to the touch. But my goodness it sheds constantly.I had a fancy dress zoom party where I wore it, so was just sat at a desk, moving my arms occasionally, and within an hour the floor around me was covered in loose feathers. Everytime I touch the boa, more feathers come away.So probably a good option for a one off fancy dress party or something, if you don’t mind leaving a trail of feathers that is! But I would say not too good a choice if you plan on keeping it and reusing it for future.

I was very pleasantly surprised about how thick these were - going by other ones I got in the past from other places, I bought two to get the thickness I wanted - no need - they are lovely and thick and great for Rocky Horror. They still looked good ( despite still losing a few feathers) at the end of the night and I ended up wearing the other one as the fullness is fine wth just one. I will keep these till next time - as they are still fine. If they lasted a whole night of the doing the Time Warp they must be good. Can't understand the negative reviews - ok, they do lose some feathers, so may be slightly messy, but after use they are still vibrant (red ones), full and fluffy. Quite pleased
