This was a great pad obviously good quality and sturdy materials/build, but it was a little small for a beginner tbh, especially a clumsy one like me! so was returned. I suspect it'd be fab for practice on the move as it's small enough for luggage/work bags etc.Probably come back to this one when my skills improve :)

Excellent quality. Very responsive to all drumstick types and playing styles. Portable. Sits well on snare drum stand. Perfect practice partner without annoying the neighbours!! Recommend.

I’ve been a drummer for 40 years but this is my first practice pad. I’ve been using it for about six weeks now and I can’t overstate how useful this has been in improving my sticking technique. I’ve been doing 20 minutes or so every couple of days, mainly just single and double stroke rolls. The pad has an excellent natural feel and bounce, very like a real snare drum. I’ve been placing it on a cushion or folded towel to reduce noise which works well. Definitely a highly recommended product.

Firstly, this pad is totally useable and gives one a great way to practice rudiments and stick control. There is one niggly aspect, however. The rubber pad is simply glued on to the raw MDF base, but in such a way as there are air pockets between the two materials in certain places. Although only minor, and not enough to worry about it coming away from the base, it does mean that the sound varies as the stick strikes different areas of the pad. When you are practicing intently for half an hour at a time this can be somewhat distracting. This pad isn't cheap, considering the materials used, and this should be a very simply problem to resolve. To be honest, if I had a suitable piece of rubber kicking about I'd have made one myself. The rubber is nothing special. Unfortunately, the drumming world has us by the danglers and charges way too much for practice pads in general. That said, I use it every day and will get my money's worth. RLRLRL...repeat until the wife leaves. Might work out cheap in the long run.

Great little pad. It’s about the size of a dinner plate, and makes a pretty nice dull thud sound when played. It’s also really solid so will last

Very useful for learning sticking patterns, parradidles, singles, doubles etc.

Perfect and good value for money.

Well built and works well. I like the rebound of the pad and it stays put well, especially on a smooth surface where it actually forms a bit of suction that holds it in place even better. Nice design.
