surprisingly fast and responsive laptop with superb screen
Received within 24 hours of purchase. Setup was very easy. Applying updates to installed Windows 8.1 less so. Very slow downloads from MS site (not the fault of the laptop however). Once updates were applied, I was frankly surprised at how fast this laptop is; much faster than other laptops of similar spec. Screen is crystal clear and reminds one of a high-end tablet. Wifi download speed was at the maximum possible for our in-house wifi. Backed up laptop to external 2TB drive once updates completed and got transfer rates of +280 MB/s. This is comparable to my SSD drives. All-in-all very satisfied. Note: Upgrade icon for Windows 10 never materialized despite hacks and applying all required updates. Ended up having to download it directly via the MS media installer. Windows 10 looks great on it and is a massive improvement over the boxy appearance of Windows 8.1.

The touch screen works fine and makes Windows 8
This laptop does what it says on the tin, fast, responsive, quiet. The touch screen works fine and makes Windows 8.1 easy to navigate. Battery life is good as well. A different PSU connection to the laptop which i havent seen before, but this is very robust and should withstand daily use, unlike others. Ports are well positioned with easy access. The standard sized SD card slot is a handy addition, as this laptop doesn't have a CD/DVD drive. Sound quality is good, and video and voice calls are clear as well. This laptop also has the added bonus of Bluetooth. A nice feature that Lenovo have included is to reverse the function and feature keys. So you have to hold down the function key to operate the F1-F12 keys, but you do not have to hold a function key down for the feature keys. These keys control things like volume, brightness, dual screen, etc. I would score it 9/10 on features, and 10/10 on value.

Great visually with the 1080p bright screen.
I would buy again. Just as described. I brought this since I was going back packing and is slightly smaller than your average laptop and at a very good price. Being lugged around India and Vietnam I found the laptop very handy light weight and when traveling on planes and trains the ability to flip it round and watch videos was handy in tight spaces. The battery is about 3-4 hours of good usage. Some planes and some trains in india have power points and there are always cafe's you can plug your gear in so it's not really an issue.I use a DSLR camera which I have microSD cards with adapters to make them regular SD cards and its good being able to back them up using the SD card slot. 1080p screen is bright and looks good. The keyboard lay out to type is good there more keys than a touch pad. Double check you get the right one as originally amazon sent me the AMD version which has 4gb ram and is cheaper. I do recommend the Intel version with the 6gb ram as you can do more!

Excellent HD laptop for a bargain Price
As a mac user I was a little unsure whether it would be as good as my desk top mac or Ipad. I needed a laptop and the price was good although Amazon did reduce it another £40 a week after I bought it which was annoying. However I must admit using windows 8 is not as bad as when I last had an Windows XP computer with all those pop ups load this ,load that ,blue screens antivirus ,firewalls etc which you dont get on Mac. Overall Windows 8 Its a little quirky but easy to use. The laptop is well built and loads so quickly within seconds and the HD screen is excellent when watching TV on iplayer, skygo or videos .Out of the box I had it up and running in minutes.the touchscreen is good and works very well .I uninstalled the Free trial McAfee and used the free Windows defender which is preinstalled. For the price its a excellent laptop you wont be disappointed

Please don't buy this laptop
Please don't buy this laptop. Although I was initially very pleased with the Lenovo Flex 2-14, there is a known issue with this model where it gets irrevocably stuck in sleep mode. Nothing functions, except the power button light which helpfully pulses every 8 seconds so you know the laptop isn't completely dead. Normally in this situation I would remove the battery to reset the laptop. However, as the Flex 2 has an internal battery and removing it would invalidate the warranty, the only solution is to wait for the computer to run out of battery, which on a full charge can take several weeks. Alternatively, you could of course send it back to Lenovo which would take even longer... Lenovo support has been of no help whatsoever, and this appears to be an issue for which they currently have no solution. Unfortunately in my case this happened a few weeks after the Amazon product return period expired. The laptop is only about 10 weeks old, so well within the guarantee period, but it is still a massive inconvenience. I wish I'd bought an HP instead.

Brilliant laptop. Very fast to start up and open ...
Brilliant laptop. Very fast to start up and open apps, and can go 3-4 hours between charges, depending on usage. Touchscreen not as responsive as i would like when in 'laptop mode', but brilliant in 'stand mode'

Would highly recommend, a joy to use!
I would highly recommend this laptop. It may seem a bit scary to go from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1 but this laptop has made the transition a joy with its easy to use touchscreen which makes navigation easy and allows fun interactions with different apps. The laptop has an attractive look and is very quiet, it is also light but reasonably sturdy. The foldout feature is actually very useful, it allows more space when needed and can allow the laptop to be used in cramped settings. The mousepad feels a bit sticky at first but with use, it begins to feel a lot smoother. The main thing that stopped me giving the laptop five stars is the battery life. The battery life could really be a bit longer, I find myself frequently plugging in the laptop to charge and while the laptop does charge quickly, it does not help if you need to use it for an extended amount of time away from a power socket. Besides this point, this product is absolutely wonderful. It runs my engineering software for university and at the same time is also fun to use.

Love this laptop
Love this laptop, fast light with full HD screen. The only negative and it's a small one is the screen is quite reflective in some conditions.
