The co-producer of the album, Jeff Kashiwa, is a smooth jazz saxophonist native to Seattle who made his start as a member of popular fusion jazz group The Rippingtons. He later continued work as a solo artist, prior to joining the Sax Pack (featuring Steve Cole and Kim Waters). In addition to Jeff and Hulon's compositions, the First Impressions album also features the artists: Andre Berry, Ricky Lawson, Dave Kochanski, Dave Hooper, Melvin Davis, Allen Hinds and Bill Heller.

Doctor in the House
I bought this CD after reading some reviews on in a local magazine. I was not disappointed. Many of the songs are covers but Dr. Hulon does a great job. He effortlessly flows through the tunes and you fell like he's in the room with you the arrangements are so captivating. I gave it four stars only because of the covers, I like more original tunes, it helps me keep my iPod arranged a little better. Still this CD is a must have in your Smooth Jazz collection. Bravo!

and he was an amazing doctor. But
Dr. Hulon Crayton was my Rheumatologist, and he was an amazing doctor. But, he also had the heart of a true musician. You can hear his passion in his music. I will miss him, but his music lives on. To have two such amazing talents was a gift he never squandered.

I was VERY impressed with Hulon's music. Simply beautiful, from his soul. Then I learned he is an incredible entrepreneur, philanthropist AND a doctor whose patients appreciate how caring he is... His cup runneth over! ...and we a blessed to enjoy him through his music. ~ Tania-Maria [...].
