I recently received the Cavdle Electric Composter and couldn't wait to start using it. I have to say, it has been an incredible and cost-effective addition to my household. Firstly, the composter has greatly reduced food waste and the number of times I have to take out the trash. Most of my food scraps can be placed in the machine without any odors. Secondly, my family and I enjoy gardening! Before purchasing this machine, we had to buy chemical fertilizers regularly, and I was a bit concerned about their safety. I love the unique low-temperature fermentation mode of this machine because it can produce real organic fertilizer. In the past, I have tried other composting methods, but they took too long and attracted insects. Overall, I highly recommend this machine. It is easy to use, effective, and environmentally friendly. With the Cavdle Electric Composter, I can reduce my carbon footprint, produce organic fertilizer for my plants, and save money on buying chemical fertilizers.

I was use to having composting pickup where we use to live and now we don't. I wanted to continue to invest in the environment, and hated throwing compostible things in the garbage. I thought this would be a great solution since we can't have an outdoor composting. I have a sensitive nose so had my concerns about having it indoors, but with the filter thought I would give it a shot. Well, I had multiple issues. Depending what I put into it, it either wreaked or just smelled like something bad brewing. Regardless it's smelled. No way I could have it in the house. I put it in our laundry room, closed the door and only ran it at night on short mode so it would air out by morning. I mainly got it so I could repurpose coffee grounds & filters, eggs shells, and fruits and veggie peels. Well, there was an issue with the coffee filters getting stuck or not breaking down. If I put anything with moisture in it, it would sweat and stink. Sometimes I would find that it shut off. I would unplug it, swirl things around inside to make sure it wasn't clogged, take out what ever I thought was a problem, let it sit and try it again the next night. Some times that worked other times it didn't. Finally it just didn't work anymore. Very disappointing. I would not recommend. Too pricey to risk.

In about 4 hours — this machine turned old garlic cloves, a whole head of garlic, paper towels, tissue paper, left over kitchen scraps, left overs that went bad (no meat though), coffee grounds with filter—into this super light and fluffy pre-compost! There is no smell if you wait a couple days to fill up the pot because of the charcoal filter and sealed lid. The sound—pretty quite. I mean you can hear it,but it kinda sounds like this light hum. In the beginning, when it first starts churning it’s a little louder but not too bad. The end result has a kind of earthy smokey smell, but it didn’t smell like garlic at all (there was a lot garlic I threw in there). Now I will say that on the first use it had a kind of new appliance smell-but my air fryer did too on the first use. But after that not much smell at all. There will be a lot of steam that I thought was smoke, so I stopped it really quick and put some water in it. Im pretty sure it was steam though. The only thing—and I’m going to have to call them is I can’t get that filter off. I also don’t see a replacement filter on their website—that’s the only reason why I’m not giving them full marks. That is a customer irritant. I am so pleased with the results and can’t wait to mix that into some soil. No more waiting for trash day to throw out spoiled food!

I have been composting at home since I recently moved, and while I like doing it, it can get smelly and gross on the way. I started investigating electric composters, and I read lots of reviews on different ones, and what things would come out like and why I didn’t really need one. So when I purchased this, I fully expected that I might need to return it and was going to be disappointed. I put my first batch in and waited, and then literally had dirt when I was done! I can’t believe I haven’t been doing this in the past; it is the best device I have ever purchased. I would recommend one for everyone. It is not huge, easy to operate and easily fits all of my daily scraps from my family of 4. Worth every penny and I actually love using it!

This thing completes my kitchen and it'snot noisy. We eat a lot of produce and I juice a lot, so there is a lot of peels and skin. Traditional composting doesn't yield a pleasant smell and attracts flies. With this little gadget, 3-5 hrs I have black gold for my garden. It does release steam and a slight odor from the food, doesnt last long..now let's see the longevity of this device.

Would I purchase again - no. Had 60 days/ just wife and I / off grid so looking for something after outdoor compost twice destroyed by animals. PRO 1 Sturdy, heavy duty motor and bucket 2 Convenient / sits on counter so easy to drop waste in and dump out. 3 Easy controls / no set up required/ easy to use. 4 Compact design 5 Reduces food waste to almost noting and a dry material. Much better than gooey, messy, stinky regular food waste. Cons 1 Smell / will overpower you when running. We have a whole house air system (ERV) that pulls air out of kitchen and smell still goes through entire house. 2 Run time / Shortest cycle is 3 1/2 hours and full compost is 20 hours. In relation to regular compost of 2-3 months, it is quick. But running 20 hours uses a LOT of electricity. I normally run on medium cycle and let material then complete composting outside. 3 Small Bucket. We fill it up daily and have to run on largest filling setting / just 2 of us. IF more in family, you will be running all the time or not composting everything. 4 Bucket sticks and hard to remove. Has 4 bolts on outside holding cutting blade, after 2 months top collar has expanded to where have to use pry knife to remove bucket. 5 Moisture. Does not vent well so excess moisture collects under top plastic. When lid raised, water pours out, runs onto counter and inside machine. Couple of times, moisture run off bad enough to short out machine and trip breaker. Have ended up removing top plastic cover and that seems to have corrected issue. 6 Top inside plastic around vent has distorted to where top cover place does not latch securely in a couple of places. Missed Amazon return window so will probably contact company to correct/ replace under warranty. If you are single person or couple who does not produce much food waste, and do not mind long run time and smell, good solution. otherwise pass.

I just received mines on Aug 20th. I threw in a bunch of banana peels, coffee grounds, random plant matter and eggshells. A few hours later I was left with some fluffy, yet dry material that looks almost like dirt. I am very much impressed. The only downside is the time it takes to break down the waste.
