Cost effective option for small areas but can bend.
Definitely gives is that straighter edge cut that using the weed wacker that we were looking for. I agree with another comment that if you have a good amount of over growth, use the weed wacker to trim it down first. Just as a test, we used this on our yard that had a lot of overgrowth on the edges without trimming down first. We were impressed with how well it cut through the thick layer of grass and dirt but it would definitely have been easier if we trimmed first. Now we run it on the edges once every other week for maintenance and it's much easier. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because of how it was packaged. It just sits loosely in a long box which arrived to is pretty beat up. The top was bent off to the side because of the treatment. We easily bent it back into alignment but when you bend metal, usually it means it's more likely to bend again, which it does during usage over time. We have to keep an eye on it and nudge it back straight every now and again. We'd recommend rinsing it after use and maybe lightly spraying some silicone lube on the cutting arra to keep it spinning smoothly.

Excellent product and good delivery
I researched this product on the internet and You Tube. This particular model and brand came up as number one with many consumer studies. I decided on this brand and model, but my only concern was possible damage to it in delivery as several people who reviewed it complained that theirs was bent on arrival. I chose to buy from the "Hearthshire" company through Amazon. They did not disappoint me. My order arrived early and very well protected in a box. The item seems very sturdy (All metal parts) and just what I wanted to maintain my edging without motors or batteries.

Two Wheels of Awesomeness
I'm embarrassed to say, I had no idea what one of these were until about a year ago when I saw my neighbor pull one out of his garage to edge his driveway and sidewalk. I laughed as I pulled out my brand-new TroyBilt edger attachment for my string trimmer and it roared to life. I immediately proceeded to mangle the edges of my yard and chip my driveway and sidewalk with the unwieldy beast. With my tail between my legs, I asked my neighbor if I could borrow his rotary edger and take it for a spin. It worked well enough, but it was old. Still a little skeptical, I wanted my own.Behold the 32100 Tru Tough Rotary Lawn Edger! This is a beast! The two wheels of awesomeness holds the edger very stable as you apply slight downward pressure, gliding the edger back and forth across the edge of your cement. The wheels are spring-loaded to apply a perfect amount of cutting pressure to the cutting blade against the spoked-wheel. Because of this, any clogs quickly release as you keep rotating. Also, this action allows the unit to be self-sharpening of sorts, though only cutting grass and weeks, "sharp" is a relative term.I have several hundred feet of walkway to edge, and my first run through probably took me 45 minutes. This may sound long, but it had not been edged in over five years. There was no groove for the edger blades to travel, and I was creating this at the same time. The grass was thick and nasty (a mixture of bermuda grass and fescue). The second week, I could complete the same job in only 15 minutes. The neighbors across the road are still trying to gas-up and pull-start their power edgers by the time I'm done with my edging.I couldn't be happier with this purchase, and if anything were ever to happen to it, I would replace this edger like-for-like. I love it, and would definitely recommend it to anyone.Note: If you are edging a lawn for the first time, you will need to make several passes back and forth so the edger will make a proper groove in the ground. All future work will be a breeze.

That it works
It's alittle bit of labor, I don't have enough edge to get an electric r battery tool, it does work as described and not that hard to use, I'm just getting old

Not so great
The tines on the cutting wheel get dull real fast. After just doing about 100 feet of edging, it started getting harder and harder to edge the grass. After a while the edger was more like pulling out the grass rather than making a clean cut edging. Plus as the tines became more dull, the edging job required more energy and stamina to do. After doing about 150 feet of lawn edging, I decided I was going to finish, but was going to retire this edger and buy a motor powered machine. I am too old to put up with this battle.

Easy to use
Even though it was packaged well...4 of the tines were bent...but was able to straighten with pliers...which for the price I shouldn't have had to do...tip...when using...push forward all the time...do not back up...if you want to go over an area...pick tool up and start from the beginning again moving forward...

Happy with Everything but the Delivery
Canโt try it till summer rolls around but seems in good working order. Seems sturdy.Whoever delivered it just chucked on porch. Plain sight from sidewalk. Didnโt try to hide in behind the chair to the right or out of sight and was to busy to even ring the door bell ! Unreal ! And we wonder why so many parcels go missing. Use some common sense !!!!!!!!!!
