The Very Best Of Celtic Christmas

Good recordings, the songs are new to me, but that's what makes this cd great. It's the Celtic culture songs. Love it

This made me discover that Santa is real. It was playing on Christmas Eve. Santa showed up and broke both of my legs because I panicked and didn’t turn the cd player off quick enough.

Bought this last Christmas for 1 song and 1 song only... #7, Lully Lullay by Nightnoise. All I can say is ... WOW! The feelings that run through my body, my heart, my brain, and my soul... phenomenal!I can't believe it's been almost a year since I bought this (December 2008) and it's almost December 2009. Just listened to it and it made me realize how much Christmas is about the spiritual feelings, rather than the gifts and sales and everything else that's been commercialized.If you can, buy song #7... if you can't, then buy the entire CD (which is what I did) and listen to Lully Lullay by Nightnoise. The $8 price is worth just for that 1 song... can't get enough of it.Thank you, Nightnoise!!!

Even if you have all the Windham Hill Celtic Christmas CDs, I'd advise to you to buy this one, and as many of the others that you can find, so when they go out of print you don't have to worry about not having them. Each one is slightly different-they aren't just recycled over and over. As some reviewers have also noted, they aren't just for Christmas or Winter Solstice, you can listen to them all year, as I do. The arrangers do an excellent job of putting the tracks together, too so that you aren't jolted from a sweet quiet melody to a boisterous jig. Although this is a 'best of' and not new, I still enjoy listening to it as a compilation of my favourite Celtic artists.

I purchased this years ago and my old CD just wore out and started skipping this past Christmas. I was delighted to get a new copy, knowing I can continue to listen to my favorites, into the future.

Having already heard vol 1 & 3 many times, I was thrilled to see all my favorites on one disc along with new ones that are equally pleasing. These songs can be enjoyed at any time of year as they are quite different from those commonly associated with Christmas. The melodies, instruments and voices on many of the tracks are at once soothing and stimulating. This is a worthy addition to the collection for anyone who appreciates beautiful soft celtic music.

I like all Celtic singing and this CD just added to my liking. If you like Celtic music you can go wrong with this CD.

This is a nice CD, but it wasn't quite what I had expected. I'm a big fan of Celtic Woman and Enya so I thought I would enjoy this CD more than I do. It's a little different than the Celtic music I'm used to listening to. Many of the songs don't seem like holiday songs, so you could play this CD all year long and it wouldn't seem out of place.

I like the music a lot, but the CD was scratched. One track will not play at all, which means I cannot leave the CD on, because it will skip at the one track until I stop it. I cleaned the CD, but the scratch is etched into it. It came like that, because I checked it right away, then tried to play it.
