Exceeded Expectations
Heats up fast and had adjustable temperature. I have used this to replace microswitches on PC boards and wires to spring steel plugs. I was able to control the temperature and keep it localized with this little iron without having to use heat sink on surrounding areas. Great function at a value price.

The bigger the job, the bigger the blob
Very nice, you can not only adjust its temperature but it has an offset calibration setting for very accurate temperature control. It can display in C or F and it remembers all its settings even after unplugging from the outlet. The tips are very easy to change. It even came with a small block of rosin flux. The rest stand seems to be made from Bakealite, so the tip won't melt it, but don't drop it on a hard surface as it may break. The sponge compartment is a nice touch for out of the box use, but it is a bit small so I use my larger sponge. The instruction book was informative but you have to interpret the translation a bit, but it is helpful. It came with a standard tip plus 5 more various tips. It also came with a good amount of solder. The iron is lightweight, comfortable, and very easy to handle. The LCD display is very easy to read. It goes from off to 760 F in under 2 minutes.Update: While handling the soldering iron, my hand would sometimes rest up against the buttons, depress them, and change the temperature on me (usually the white minus button which lowers the temperature). What I did: I used a shop razor blade (the kind used for razor scrapers) and carefully trimmed each button flush. Now my hand won't press the buttons - I just use blunt ended tooth picks to press in the buttons. Works fine, lasts long time.

Pretty good soldering gun, but but extra tips from the get-go
This is a pretty good soldering gun; high temperature is high enough for soldering and it reaches the high temp quickly. I like the on/off switch and the plus/minus switches for temp, plus the digital readout of temp. The only thing I don't like is the soldering tips are lousy. I mean, after 1-2 hours of soldering, the tip was completely wasted away. If you buy this soldering gun, buy a spare set of tips because the ones that come with it don't last. Otherwise, it seems to be a pretty good product.

Easy to change tips and adjust temperature.
Works great! Easy to change tips and really like being able to adjust and monitor the temperature.

Works great is a simple soldering iron.
Easy to use and great size. Only used it a few times but the quality is on par for the price. I'm sure it could do wood burning just fine but I've only used it for soldering.

Best soldering iron I've owned.
Being able to control temp is great, and it heats up fast. I love how easy it is to change the tips out as well. I'm use to cheap basic soldering irons, but after using this I'll never go back to a standard one.

Works well overall, with a design flaw
Loving this soldering iron already. Lightweight, it heats up fast, is precise, while also handling larger connections better than expected for its size. Worth noting, all the pictures show Fahrenheit, but my iron shows Celsius. If there's a method to switch between the two, it was not immediately apparent. However, it has a critical flaw that I have not seen mentioned in any of the reviews I read so far: The temperature adjust buttons are large, easy to press, and right on the grip where one would hold the soldering iron. Repeatedly during use, I have experienced it start struggling to solder, only to find that I had inadvertently held the [-] button down while soldering and decreased the temperature to 180°C! (If you're soldering electronics, you really don't want it much lower than 400°C.) Another time, I found I had increased it to 480°C. Quite frankly, I would prefer the analog dial found on some other irons to the buttons. At the least, the buttons need to be made smaller and flatter, requiring more force to operate.

Nice little iron.
Nice, basic, inexpensive variable-temperature soldering iron. This is the second one I bought (to replace the one I lost, which of course I found shortly after I bought a new one!) Well, now I can have one in the shop and one in the house too! The temperature display is s small, easily-readable LCD screen with plus and minus buttons above and below it, and it's actually pretty accurate (measured with a k-type thermocouple in a Fluke meter.) For basic soldering tasks, I recommend it without reservations.
