40mm is the I/D of the nut
Looks a nice ball valve. But I am unable to use them because 40mm is not I/D of the pipe required for solvent welding but the I/D of the union nuts. This is contrary to normal sizing of valves and pipe. I am still trying to source somebody than can supply me the 43mm I/D unions I require.

Well made. 32mm is the inside diameter and needs 32mm rigid pipe
Well made. 32mm is the inside diameter and needs 32mm pipe glued in. The hole is full bore with a 1 inch diameter for water.

Odd size socket
Good quality valve, only thing is solvent weld pipe doesn’t fit, only pipe I could find that fitted was push fit,which doesn’t glue....caused lots of unnecessary hassle.....

Good quality
Fast delivery, very good quality . The only problem is 32mm PVC does not fit in the socket. Maybe I should buy pipes from same supplier as well. I bought 32mm from wicks and manage to fit them but no other shops have standard for the valve i suppose.

Works well at cheap price.
Does what it is meant to do with good water tight seal. Butterfly handle comes off - could do to be tighter fit or glued. Works as well as much more costly items.
