Delicious in Dungeon, Vol. 3 (Volume 3) (Delicious in Dungeon, 3)

Delicious in Dungeon is really good.
Dungeon no Meshi is a manga that is consistently hilarious. What is so brilliant about it, however, is that it manages this hilarity in a world that is meticulously fleshed out and feels alive, and with characters that are loveable, imperfect and fully realised. Every panel adds to the characterisation of both the world and the protagonists in it. On top of all that, the plot is actually emotionally investing, and far darker than the humour let’s on. The art is great too, clearly the work of someone who has learnt anatomy from real life and not other manga. The manga is especially good to any fans of DnD or the video games it has inspired (particularly wizardry). In summary, Ryoko Kui is a master storyteller and artist creating what is my favourite manga (so I am biased).Of course, anyone can read the scanlation online, so what a buyer really wants to know is the translation and print quality. I’ve got no complaints about either. The names may be spelt differently, but this is really minor. Nothing has ever taken me out of the story or reading experience. If you’re a fan of this manga, support Ryoko Kui by buying this book.

How to eat your way through a J-RPG.
This is an absolutely fantastic series for anyone looking for a light hearted adventure with a hefty dash of comedy. One part Dungeon-crawling J-RPG, one part culinary television program, and (I would argue) one party one part biological exploration. If you enjoy "Maiden Abyss" but need a break from emotionally heavy moments and want a lot of chuckles then this is a series you should definitely pick up.

A Fantastic Third Course
What makes volume 3 of Delicious in Dungeon is that we start to get get some back story on our party of adventurers. Getting to learn Marcille back story of why she is so determined to recuse Falin is very sweet. It also helps make Falin more of a character, which is a very good thing as this is now the third volume where they are trying to save her. Along that similar line of thought we get to know a former party member of the group Namari the female dwarf warrior.Of course it wouldn't be Delicious in Dungeon without some delicious looking food made from monsters. The theme of cuisine this volume is aquatic monsters. Including one of my personal favorite monsters a kraken. It's a great third course for the series and it looks like there's a chance we might finally run into the red dragon in the next volume. Let's hope our heroes are up to the task.

Food dungeon continues
This volume had an emphasis on the ecological systems behind the food present in the dungeon--a mainstay of the food manga genre and refreshing in this context.

Dungeons and Dragons + Food
My boyfriend and I love this series. Found it while browsing Barnes and Noble one day and showed the series to him. He ended up loving it more than me. He is excited for each new volume that comes out.
S**!
traduction a bit wanky
some moments are a bit weird to read, some names are a a bit deformed(spoiler: like "adamatine" being traducted "adamant", these kind of things)..so, the traduction is not exactly good. The scantrad did a better job.. such a shame for a pearl like this.

It's essentially DnD with a typical party of players
I love the creativity of this series. It makes me feel like I'm reading a comic about a DnD party. "We're out of food so I eat the monster"It's a great balance of comedy and drama, with amazing art.

Great art without being in your face
Great art without being in your face. Interesting story. The subtle facial expressions are excellent and what sets it apart.
