One of the listing images states "made of good quality plastic thick and durable" contrary to the materials description and name description. Please be aware.Regardless, the pins aren't very sharp or poke-concerning. My main issue with these is that the paint coating wasn't even, leaving certain parts with a thicker paint coating and some splatters here and there - affecting the tactile feel of the product. Otherwise, the product looks great in the hair and easy to use.

This product enticed my interest when i saw it, I wear buns all the time and I do not like having to pin 100 bobby pins to make it stay. I ordered it a while back and it took a rather long time to arrive, that is why I am not giving it 5 stars. The quality of the product is great, it comes with 6 pins each wrapped on their own bag and the gold tone is perfect for the clean aesthetic look everyone is looking for. I have thin hair but my sister has coarse thick hair and it worked for both of us so it is good for both hair types.

This pack of 6 metal hair pins is very elegant and simple option if you have full, long, or thick hair. I just twist my long hair up and put one of these pins through and it holds until I pull it back out. The benefit is that there are no teeth to catch your hair when you try to remove it. It just slides in and out easily. I am not sure this would work with someone who has thin hair and will not work at all if you have short hair. There are no real "clips" to grab your hair. The package is a bit excessive with 6 in it because normally one will work until you lose it. I guess it is a "share with a friend" pack. The color is a muted gold.

These hair pins are made of sturdy, shiny gold coated metal, with just the smallest amount of flexibility. I found them easy to use to hold up my long hair in a bun. One thing I didn't like was that the pins have a small hole at the very end of each pick. This hole kept catching in my hair for some reason. I'm not sure what it's purpose is the the product, and I found this frustrating. Overall, I will continue to use these as they provide a classy alternative to a scrunchie.

This is a nice set of french pins. They have a good weight to them and don't feel cheap. However they are shorter than other brands I own. My fault for not reading the description. I also think the pictures make them look longer. They do keep my hair up but I have really thick hair so it doesn't feel quite as secure as my longer pins. And the bun definitely hides all of the pin. The images show much more pin sticking out than you can actually see. My daughter (who loves her french pins) saw them and said they would be perfect for mini buns. Of course she whipped her hair right into two small buns, stuck them in and it was adorable. She was right. They are perfect for mini buns. Works for regular buns too, but if you have really long thick hair you might be having to redo them mid-day. They are a nice set just be aware they are shorter than normal. Also they do not come in a box as the last photo shows. It looks identical but it's only a plastic resealable bag. No gift box.

These worked ok in my hair. I have very long, fine, thin, slippery hair. I did a lever approach, where I started the pin at one angle, and then levered it over to the other side of my head before fully tucking it in. This pulls the hair tighter and makes it more secure. A slightly longer pin would have worked better.The actual construction of the pins is a bit underwhelming. They look spray-painted in some kind of matte gold finish. It's a strange texture for a hair pin. Although the product information says metal, it also says plastic. These are very lightweight pins, and the part you see is paint, not metal, so it's a tad confusing. There are also tiny little holes near the ends of the pin, which make no sense.These are all individually wrapped and packaged in a resealable bag. $10 for 6 hair pins is an okay price, but I really don't need 6 identical hair pins, so a variety of colors or an option to buy fewer would work better for me.

These are beautiful gold hair pins. They slid in my hair easily and held my very long and heavy hair in place with no issue even with just one well placed clip. I used one on my young daughters wet hair and as she likes it up and not dripping on her shirt when it is damp - I usually use those claw shaped clips to put it up and she complains its uncomfortable and it pulls and falls down. I didn't hear a peep about discomfort from her at all with these pins and it held her hair in place much better. I love that you get several so you can keep a few in your purse or car. They each come individually wrapped in plastic so they stay nice and arrive in good shape. So they are great it terms of practicality and they look pretty doing it!
